I remember this video from New York Hot Tracks in the early/mid '80s but forgot the title and artist not long after. It made such an impression on me that later, when I wrote a letter to the syndicated American Dance Trax radio show, I asked about this video, and luckily, they knew right away which song I was talking about! I've never forgotten it since! I love the electro synth-pop flavored with freestyle beats!

This dude is like forgotten but he was killing it ugly in the mid 80s..He was a monster..

I’m 41 now and was into dance music from the late 80s but only discovered John within the last year. This track vocal club mix and Move (Landlord house mix) are absolutely great tracks, I play them on my sets and play them at home, even my young kids love them! He was a musical genius, really pioneering for his time by the sounds of these tracks.

....Music lovers, I have been looking for a song for decades... It goes something like, "on the other side, where there is happiness and togetherness, there will be lots of hugging and kissing on the other side"... Any clues of the name and/or band?...If I get this song, I will be on the other side of this search...Star Wars video game was rocking when it came to the store across my Street...So far your videos captured a bit of NYC 1980s teen life...I still look at my teen life from the 1980s, and so many friends from that time; in my imagination and from seeing that corner store even today...We had the best games.... That game, Space Invades, Asteroids, Centipede, Dragons Lair, Donkey Kong, Pack Man, Galaga, Scramble, Defender, etc were at the corner store....I was the best at scramble....I probably made the store owner rich and me broke, with all the quarters I put in those machines....I think I was addicted....Fortunately, I could replenish my quarters, when I got paid...I worked for my father as a painter, and at my uncle's jewelry store in the diamond district....I kinder of worked hard and played hard......You should have seen the store owners eyes at times, when I laid a twenty dollar bill on the counter, for you know what...I spread them all across the glass of the video game...All new I had next, next, and next......................
