What a lovely few minutes listening to the words and ideas of this wonderful man. Like his music, his thoughts display as effortless and true. Excellent that Maestro Rutter talks about aethetic issues of contemporary music and I think it is very courage of him, to stand melody and tonal music on the top, in a time when this could be "politically" incorrect in aethetic terms.

4:30 I don't agree ! Wagner wrote so many beautiful tunes in his operas, and so did composers like Debussy (Claire de lune) and Stravinsky (Firebird, Petruschka).
