John Seale : Lighting Masterclass 

I happen to see Mosquito Coast again since summer before college when the ending was so poignant, and the Cinematography was sooo amazing I purchased the DVD right away. I feel budget and box office is inaccurate as this film is watched by so many college courses and others in film, and it's revival as a series it's 3rd. The idealism of Utopia, it's fallacy that starts it's eventual demise, and the struggles to continue is very personal to be against a strong evil religious empire larger than life. To capture all that through the lens of this lush green amazonian untouched jungles, the natives, with labor needed for each mission is amazing. Hm... Heart of Darkness adapted with just a tweak to cote d' ivoire congo with Stanley falls and Victoria. And all that to understand the present day Africa when after Baroness Blixen somehow strange formations to rise above to the Juntas military rule. Yes John Seale. One of the best Cinematography, capturing the essence of Thoreux, optioned in 5 years.
