John Shough, an unsung hero of the Dayton indie music scene in a rare live performance, here with his band Ultra Vega during the Big Beef Records' produced Stratopop Fest at Gilly's in downtown Dayton, Ohio in October 2001. Though better known for his production/engineering work behind the board at legendary Cro-Magnon Studios, with the likes of Robert Pollard and Guided By Voices, The Breeders, Shrug, The Mulchmen and many dozens more, John's own songwriting is some of the best pop rock you'll find anywhere.
