ghm389 I would say a normally aspirated anything would be getting those numbers. Unless it's a mountain motor. He's not purging or bumping to the line so I guess he is NA.
Hey, I have been going to racetracks since the eighty's, and you don't see slingshot musclecars doing almost 200mph on pumpgas alone alright. Don't tell me any normally aspirated motor is going to do that.
Even with the 600 c.i. motor(actually it's a 596) that's fast! I want to know who built the chassis? is it all tube, or just the front half? What does the car actually weigh?

+WBRos59 Not NHRA Pro Stocks. Pro Stock Extreme from 6.22 @226.70 in ADRL with 825 ci V8 on race gas. In 2012, might have been beat since. But if any N/A is okay, then Top Alcohol Dragster (Injected). Its an N/A V8 on 94% nitromethane, so like TopFuel but without the blower. They run 5.103@285.35 (2015 Winternationals) Edit: Fastest N/A V8 is probably Dave Schroder's Vette when he ran 7.0x@200+ (iirc, thereabouts) without spraying on his NO2 872 ci V8. But there could easily be one faster than that out there (run must be without nitrous)
7.70 @ 180 mph no nitrous no turbo no supercharger & a heavy 3600 Lb 65 gto now that’s impressive! Wonder if it’s a Jim butler engine he’s builds wicked fast pontiacs! And I’ll say it again let’s see a chevy anything naturally aspirated do that
I bought a 65 GTO and 65 that looks just like the one John Schneider has the only problem was they wouldn’t order me they wouldn’t order me a four 21 in.³ engine😅
It has a Pontiac engine from BES with 541 cubic inches and a set of $6500 Tiger heads. That combo can easily run those numbers without nitrous. BES has won the coveted Engine Masters Challenge several times in a row.
