I don't thing that believing isn't crucial for finding our true nature. Yes, it is a trap because it can feed negative emotions and put us in a judgemental mode, but believing there is something beneath this thick layer of lies, judgements and kaos we are coated in is extremely important to finding and maintaining relation with your intelligence.
