Fun fact, at 5:23 when the bouncer tells John that he's lost over 60 lbs it was confirmed by the actor, Keanu and the director that this is code to tell John how many guards there are in the club. In Russian he says he's lost over 20kg (the movie incorrectly translates it to 60lbs which is ~25kg but whatever), so he's telling John there are a bit over 20 men in the building. On top of having history with the guy, for telling him John let's the bouncer live Edit: I changed the number from 25kg to 20, the actual number he says in Russian. People in the replies were confused and thought the number that mattered was what 25kg converts to, ie: 25kg = 60lbs = 60 men, when it's just the number the bouncer says. 20kg = 20 men

The cops just know not to mess with the Continental, the High Table, and especially John, so he just wants to know if he's gonna have to do more paperwork to cover the murders and stuff. They explored it a tiny bit more in the Continental show with the detective side plot.

He went for his target and started a gun fight in a completely packed club; a few people 100% got hit either by him or the people firing at him, either way probably wasn't super heroic to drag all those people into it. And finally, what about every single club goer who did not get hit but is now irreversibly traumatized by this one guys selfish violent rampage? I love this movie too my g but let's not pretend Wick wouldn't be considered an absolute monster IRL for his crimes.

@@SilharaTheChosenThe bodyguards are working for Vigo, who's a Cartel's mob boss like his brother in JW2. I wouldn't say they are innocent people and in all 4 JW movies, while many of the fight scene were in crowded areas. Surprisingly, there's no indication that innocent people died in the process even though some of them were caught in the cross fire, like the roundabout scene in France. Realistic? No, but I think that's the reason why people can get behind this movie because all the death scene are all from the underground world who aren't innocent.

It's happened to me at Ultimate Frisbee--- and it was odd. At first, about 1/3 of the field was in torrential rain. The rest of the field was still dry. It took it about 5 seconds to cross the length of the field to our side. They have these things called "microbursts" (videos on youtube). Basically a saturated cloud just suddenly releases *all* the rain at one time. It can be very destructive and have a high downward wind too.

Ten sets of sneakers out of 10 staplers continues the tradition of presenting a nonsense fraction. 10a/10b can not be simplified any further unless the variables are given values. I actually have experience falling flat on my back onto a solid surface (ice/frozen ground)from a height similar to if not higher than the fall in this movie. I don't have a broken back but there was definitely permanent damage. (Dont do frontflips off roofs kids) It happened 15 years ago now and i still have pain daily. John definitely shouldn't have been able to get right back up and continue fighting because he wouldn't have an air in his lungs and hed be in immense pain. Broken back though? Youd have to fall in a seriously weird way to achieve that if its even possible from that height IMHO.

@@AlphariusOmegon618 Hardly. I jumped up about as soon as I hit the ground and tried to walk it off, but the pain was super intense immediately. I ended up just laying on the kitchen floor for several hours. I'm sure with training you could get back in the fight as soon as you could breathe again, but you're not jumping up and getting right back to it no matter how much of a badass you are.

If your primary runs out of ammo, and your opponent is right on top of you, then it’s better to use fists or a knife instead of using a side arm or back up. Generally you should get your opponent to a distance where they cannot disarm you if you pull out your sidearm.

Realistically you're right but in this non realistic universe, everyone and their mother knows who john is. Also the idiot young guy would have needed to call someone to get the address giving yet another chance to find out who john is. At the end of the day it's a small necessary plot hole to make the movie happen.

The scene where Vigo took an old, dusty contact book indicated that the book has not been touch in years and is long forgotten so there's no reason for Vigo to tell his son about some assassin that retired long ago.

The boat pit [to my knowledge] is called a dry dock, you were correct in it being used for ship maintenance. The “immovable nipple” I believe is used to moor boats but I don’t know its name, it is possibly called a mooring anchor.
