Wow, what an amazing clip. Brought tears to my eyes seeing all those service men. Johnny and Bob had a good skit together, loved seeing Johnny so young. His accomplishments still blow me away. I wish Bob had been right about the war winding down at that point. My dad flew out one of the last planeloads of refugees as Saigon fell to the North. They were overloaded and being shot at, yet somehow they got out of there. He was a captain for World Airways. He was too young for WWII, his brother and father flew bombers in the Pacific theatre for that war, he fought in Korea as a Marine, then was involved in Viet Nam, Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a civilian pilot. Back in the 90's, we would go to Disneyland at Thanksgiving and they always had a Christmas lighting ceremony. One year, Bob Hope pulled the switch and I got within a couple of feet of him. It is a memory I will never forget because we were huge Bob Hope fans. There was a racehorse named Lemondrop Kid, after a Bob Hope movie character, and any chance I had, I bet on him to win. I won a few bucks as he had a pretty good career😄 Anyway, thanks for getting these clips out. I hope a lot of people see this one!👍😍
That's an impressive career. I don't think I made it through the end with dry eyes the first time either. When he said 35,000 dead and that it was almost over I thought, we're halfway there I guess. I had to leave that in if I was going to post this. It was made to send a message and it should continue to send Bob's message as long as people watch it.
