When I was a kid growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, my mom always complained about how stupid all the cartoons I was watching were, except for Johnn Bravo. She thought it was funny.
It'd probably be about on par with the difficulty of the Proud Family's opening gag with Oscar pushing a different person out of the house every episode. Maybe a bit more difficult. Hmm.
Guessing on their Stance on keeping shoes like SU on, they’d probably say Johnnys tendencies aren’t respectful to women. I doubt a return, and don’t trust CN with a reboot. I’m just gonna be happy with the fact that we got Johnny in the first place
Because he’s also stupid and self absorbed. Johnny basically only wants the girl in the first place to make himself look even better, just like Gaston.
I like to feel that Johnny is a lot smarter than he appears to let on. There are some episodes where he pulls off some amazing slick moves (Bear in the Woods, The Spy episode). Also, when he's hosting stuff outside of his show, he's quite witty.
I remember I saw part of this on a VHS tape recorded over the old classic grinch animation that was on CN and right after the intro it stopped because I guess one of my parents didn't like how the show has alot of innuendos
Johnny Bravo is one of cartoon network's many best shows along with Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Codename Kids Next Door, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Cow and Chicken, Ben 10, Camp Lazlo, Chowder, Flapjack, and honestly many more to name. Cartoon Network was definitely at their best back then, same can be said for Nickelodeon as well too.
In the current PC climate, it will most likely never happen; people would cry too much about “WAA, he’s such a disgusting sexist!” instead of appreciating the comedy of the show, and next thing you know, they’d be trying to get it cancelled because they’re offended by it. People like them are the reason we can’t have nice things
if Johnny Bravo happened today, i think all these Beautiful Women would've given him a Middle-Finger and walked away instead of just punches or just reject him by saying they have Boyfriends! Lol
I watched this show growing up, I’m 33 now but my mom loved watching this cartoon. She had a huge crush on James dean also my dad was a huge Elvis fan :D
Loved this show :D i can just see all the Woke Super Feminists saying that this show was a sin and the way he came onto women was disgusting haha!! You go Johnny Boy!!! Hihahoo!!
Season 1 was pretty weak, but still had some funny moments. Season 2 is where the show finally found better footing with the humor and had me laughing more times than I can count (the same applies to season 3). The introduction of Pops and Carl also made the show even better ever since they first appeared in season 2, I just could NEVER go back to re-watching season 1 since it was not the same without them. Season 4 sucked since the creators pretty much took a huge step backwards with the humor by making it too similar to season 1 (but with none of the humor or charm whatsoever). So yeah, season 1 had a few laughs, seasons 2 and 3 were the best (and funniest), and season 4 is the one I can honestly do without. Honestly, I think the show should have ended after season 3. To me, season 4 doesn't exist.
Muscular, can walk on his fingers, back flips, rides a monocycle while balancing some dogs and a plate on a stick AND dances? Man, if I were a girl I'd totally date Johnny
Anyone else think the show was the best in seasons 2-3? I feel like it had the dumbest but also funniest version of Johnny as well as great supporting characters
This was when they made shows for everyone not just strictly for children. 😂johnny gets me going how clueless he was. Ill say it for everyone "yeah whatever."
Each of these intros has a weird scene: the first one where Johnny is riding on that one wheel bike thing carrying those two dogs and that stick in his mouth, the second one where he’s twice being chased by Little Suzy, and the third where Little Suzy runs off with his shirt.
This and Courage the Cowardly Dog were the only CN shows from the 90s that didn't go downhill (Ed Edd n Eddy's fifth season was a huge ass mixed bag, and Chris "No Means No" Savino turned Dexter and PPG into obnoxious messes)
Here's a funny Johnny Bravo joke I came up with. Let me know what you think. *Preteen Johnny comes home from school all beaten up* *Mama Bravo: "Johnny! Oh, my poor baby boy. What happened to you?"* *Johnny: "I got beaten up at school, Mom."* *Mama Bravo: "What was that boy's name, Johnny? I'll call his mama right now, and give her a piece of my mind. No boy should EVER touch my little Johnny boy."* *Johnny: "It was a girl who beat me up, Mom."* *Mama Bravo (surprised): "A GIRL?!!!"*
