Well in all honesty , that question was in fact not a "yes or no" sort and did in fact need explanation as to what why. There might be jurors that don't quite understand what happens when you transfer pics from one device such as an iPhone to that of a Microsoft based device. He tried to explain it but her damn attorney just wants a yes or no like a polygraph examiner would.

That was an extremely dumb question to ask. I mean, it is so obviously opening the door to discuss other means of ascertaining whether or not those images were altered in some way beyond the exif data and metadata. And the best result of that open door was, the tech expert could clearly explain to the jury in laymans terms that the images were not originals, but were in fact 3rd gen copies that underwent multiple layers of processing before he even got them for his investigation. So no tech expert could possibly determine if they were real or not, which AH team did not want the jury to understand. I get that AH is a terrible client to have to defend, but man her lawyers are not up to par...

Any photo used in regular everyday manner would have photos 3.0 :) , the point of the testimony wasn't about the photos , they are arguing that if you don't have the original device then photos are not authentic , edited or not. Altho the demonstrative where they overlay multiple pictures on top each other do show that every photo is basically different in some way to the naked eye.

Not true. Issue is, photo evidence provided is not the original file. It is a copy, which in turn "could of been" modified. Therefore, the photo cannot be used as evidence for Amber, nor can it be used for Jonny. Only way to prove if the photo is real, is to obtain original file directly from the phone... so either Amber knows its edited, and didn't provide it, or she lost her phone.

It’s appears from what I can observe that she has messed around with filtration /saturation. If you do it with a normal image of your own on an iphone you will see how you exaggerate pink tones or blue tones etc. Also on image with bruise on arm her hair seems oddly dark. Her face looks younger there is a girlishness to her appearance that I dont see in other images of her at that time. I wondered although dont obviously know was it even of her as a married women or several years before? We are all speculating but we can be certain that images we are seeing are not originals and have been through editing software. Plus only actual bruise I see is on arm the other marks look like pink tones possibly produced by editing software and or by makeup or simply slapping her own face before taking image.

Which means not original.. so you can't say it's original or edited..swings both ways. Again, as the expert stated, the only way to 100% confirm if the image was edited, is comparing is to the original directly from the phone..

As the expert testified, it can't be proven they were doctored (or not doctored). As the burden of proof is "beyond a reasonable doubt" in a criminal trial, it wouldn't hold up.

It's impossible to reverse engineer photo that has gone trough a path like these jpgs did. From technically standpoint, but everyone can see the differences between some photos its safe to say these were worked on.

Heard's lawyer 'forgot' because the question "opened the door" for the witness to explain more about how to verify photos - something to which he has been continuously objecting as out of the scope and was being sustained. That's why in the last part, the redirect, Norbert was finally able to expound on the itunes backup - Heard's lawyer tried to object but Depp's lawyer rebutted with "but he opened the door" - that's why the question he "forgot" is that damning and significant

Thus by explaining that the "photos" were 3rd generation backups with no way to authenticate them, Norbert shredded their credibility

It definitely wasn't just the lighting! The HUES in the photos were definitely different and obviously enhanced. A light make a photo look brighter or darker and highlight some areas but it's definitely not going to saturate the image and change the tones overall what she looks tanned in one and pale in the other.
