On Monday, cross-examination of Johnny Depp continued with more exhibits, including audio recordings and text messages, presented to the jury. Cross-examination has completed, with redirect examination starting. #JohnnyDepp #AmberHeard
Amber's lawyer can't ask a proper question except "did I read that right." Every time he tries a different question he gets objected to and then just moves on. He's the compound question master.
it's getting over the top must remember to post him a blue Peter badge, cos this did I read it right well howay so needs a gold star she we collect a book of them for him😂😂😂 and all he can do is play recording of her screaming and his saying speak to you later whilst exiting sounds like she's speaking to herself half the time it's that bad.
@@hundredeight no people who are that scared leave. I left my ex wife when she committed DV on me. I didn't stick around and record it. Out of fear I left. She needs to stop playing the victim. She provoked him evety time and it's obvious.
@@francismotionless393 if people who are (that) scared leave then how does it come that people stay in toxic relationships, maybe even in relationships with physical violence?
The matron act she’s doing is killing me. This performance is the greatest of her career. Gotta give props to her wardrobe team, the poet blouse, the swooped and pinned hair like she’s just been in the garden milking the cows. I’ve never seen “wholesome god loving woman” staged so well.
Especially the one where she's screaming "get off of me!" and you can hear him in the distance saying "talk to you later 👋" lol It's crazy that her lawyers think that's a good piece of evidence. Maybe it is if they selected a jury thats hard of hearing 🤣
I believe on him just for one so obviously thing: “so many episodes being recorded by her“ this is a setup for cash in later thing! But in this case those recordings are helping him!!
So tired of this defense attorney asking if he read that right. The only thing that's making it bearable to hear is Johnny depps reaction every time he asks.
The way her lawyer is so disrespectful to the judge. The visible anger and laughing in the mic is so unprofessional. This isn't a murder trial. Not to mention how obnoxious he is everytime his team is asking questions. It's hilarious how bad it's making her look. Karma is a beautiful thing ♡
I think he is so bedazzled by Johnny Depp's legal team that he has to act like a bully in a China shop. He shoots off question after question without allowing him to reply. I don't get his strategy here.
When your entire argument is based on inconsequential acts and specific out of context dialogue…. How is that even permitted? Imagine if you wrote a paragraph and someone sliced it up and then attributed a new interpretation as proof of intent. This lawyer is ridiculous.
@@RealLife2019. that might just be because it's not really the judges place to call these things out. It's more or less a battle between the attorneys, the defendant and the plaintiff, with the judge being a kind of referee and the jury being the "judge". That's what I get from the American law system anyways. I'm not American, I'm German.
Actually, if you day the OP's comment in a baby voice, it kinda is a funny comment 😅. I get his point. She is a horrible person who wants to be babied and is using this whole thing to get attention.
@@petersmith8968 “In the pirates movie” Ok, I know the “don’t feel the trolls” rule, but in this case, I have to say you and your kind (because I’m sure they’re numerous) are disgusting and beyond credibility. Nasty, disgusting “beings” on internet, just like the person you’re “trying” to defend. Yikes. 🤮
Rottenborn truly is something else, I swear. To result to using tabloid articles as alleged evidence, which is known by the entire world that such articles are notoriously false, really shows just how much her team is reaching and grabbing at any straw they can grasp on to.
Yes, that is correct but a defamation case is based on fact -based on the “writings” which are admitted. I can see absolutely why they are included. Depp’s attorneys are aware that the case relies on fact not opinion and will also produce evidence in writing to balance the evidence. But that is NOT enough: the burden of proof is his by a preponderance of the evidence which makes this case difficult as he’s the plaintiff.
I think the point from rottenborn there is that the defamation case from Depp is on rocky ground - they’re trying to prove one specific article by heard was the cause of his career losses, but rottenborn is pointing out that his career was already on a downward slope.
As a victim of domestic violence, I'd never once mentioned the violence he put me through to his face outa fear to provoke another encounter she doesn't seem at all afriad shes hoping for a response from him. It's like she wanted him to actually hit her and when he couldn't it made her angry.
I experienced an extremely violent household when I was a child and I don't speak of it either I never wanted to provoke the abuser. Amber Heard cleary wants the fight and there's so much evidence that johnny is the real victim and he always walks away even when he's angry he takes it out on objects not people
I get a sense of satisfaction out of heard's lawyer getting fed up with the objections. He's like a little boy getting upset over his toy being taken away. And then to say that he's just trying to move things along when he's the one wasting everyone's time with material that doesn't prove anything - he's as manipulative and ridiculous as the person he's representing.
Yeah and meanwhile he's objecting every 5 seconds, when Johnny tries to speak, and even worse , objected to his own question !! His team are doing it constantly but then he gets upset when Johnny's team does it once in a blue moon !!
I think he's better than Elaine (not a high bar) but this is where I think they started to lose it cause he was getting more and more annoyed on this day compared to the others. I think they were trying to elicit anger/a reaction from Johnny and the longer this went on the more they lost it.
And here I am looking for question Mr. Rotterborn ask that are not quadurple verification of "DID YOU SIGN THIS"... What is your point? Depp has substances issues? So half of Hollywood.
RottenBum was worse while Camille was questioning ScAmber. They're so hypocritical I can't stand to listen to it. It's these knobs that give Lawyers a bad name.
She's an emotional manipulator, and as such truly thinks she is right and the victim. Johnny tries to step out of the triangle of being either the victim, the perpetrator or the rescuer and is therefore the ultimate perpetrator in her mind. Being an emotional manipulator makes for a very unhappy life and drags other people into having an unhappy life as well. Johnny is in his power and is completely open to what needs to be done. I love him even more than I did before. He is a very wise man.
When JD and this liar of a lady started dating I already had a hunch that there was really something odd and off with the relationship. JD had been with a lot of famous women even before. When he went with this starlet all I was thinking then was that maybe JD was having his midlife crisis and this relationship was just one way to cope up with it. True enough it was doomed from the start.
Growing up in a home with domestic violence, I can tell you that a woman who is experiencing it tries her best to be as quiet and out of sight as possible in order not to trigger or "provoke" an episode. This woman sounds nothing like a battered woman, she sounds more like a spoiled, cruel, manipulating, instigator who gets a thrill out of pushing him and getting a reaction out of him. My prayers and support are with Johnny because anyone who has watched any of these videos can see that he is a genuinely good person with a good heart who not only helps people but also beams with pride when he sees the people he loves.
I find it incredible how Mr Rottenborn is automatically frustrated by the very few objections from Johnny's team. In contrast to his constant interruption when it's the plaintiff that's making the interrogation.
What in the actual f**k was she thinking? She's been incriminating herself the whole time. All I hear in her taped conversations is a little girl antagonizing someone till they blow up. So great! She proved he's human, and that she can push his buttons. 👏
THIS right here!!! She encouraged him to do the drugs WITH her. Even got him to employ a dr and nurse to drug them with pills. I truly think she expected him to OD and she would've fought for his millions. Then to think he would not have been able to defend himself after death of these allegations. I'm hypothesizing but her evil knows no bounds
Just imagine if police were allowed to present their 3 hour interrogation interviews in the form of random, out of context, little 15 to 45 second sound bites. Every interview would sound like a confession.
I love it that she is so certain she is going to win this as we know that JOHNNY WINS IT ON ALL COUNTS. THAT VERDICT WAS THE SWEETEST MOMENT EVER. GOOD RIDDANCE WITCH.
Right he cuts him off as he tries to speak, but he kept being polite to the lawyer as he was just trying to provoke Johnny and get him to lash out to prove he's volatile. He remains calm and even his exes spoke on his behalf.
He has to cut Depp off, it's part of the tactic. Blaze through all of the worst things you have found, don't allow the person on the bench to reply fully, because when you're defending lies context can be damaging to your "case". His opinions about her career after they broke up and she filed for divorce and tried to ruin his life are irrelevant. Obviously there will be bitterness. His opinions about feeling like getting physical with someone "asking about that ****" are not relevant. Because the level of unwanted public attention in a case like this are unimaginable and being treated as guilty without any enquiry after an allegation has been made is very frustrating. Note that in spite of the remarks he made he hasn't been charged with any crime.
It is so extremely sad to me that she stood here this entire relationship, antagonizing him, gaslighting him and recording it all. It seems her entire mission had not one ounce of care for this man. Horrific, truly.
I can’t for the life of me understand how they are playing these short little clips of audio as “evidence” with no context. I hope that the jury is able to listen to the full recording. No way that a 10 second clip with no context should be considered “evidence”.
The court system needs to be reformed in the way it handles text messages. Either admit a whole thread of texts with content or its virtually pointless
it's not pointless because it allows people to make cases out of nothing, which makes lawyers money. the whole point is to be able to make something out of nothing. it lets more lawsuits occur, which equals more money for corrupt lawyers.
I agree! When JD tries to explain what or how or anything about the messages themselves, the attorney knocks him down and over talks him. It’s so frustrating! You never know the true context of a text.
The bit about "i cut my finger" is interesting. The lawyer is trying to suggest Depp cut his finger, but it really could be wording. When seeking a band-aid, it's common to say "I cut my finger" or "i scraped my knee". However that doesn't imply you took something and literally cut or scraped yourself on purpose.
It’s completely possible that you refer to your own injury as “my” and not as “the injury you caused me” “Yeah when I fell of my bike.” “Yeah when you pushed me off my bike.” It’s completely possible he just worded it one way, and yet this somehow is evidence that he did it to himself when it’s just wording used at the time.
@@cacidoo My son's father broke my nose. When we would refer back to it, we both said, "when my nose was broken". Generally you aren't going to "throw it up" to the other person as being their fault everytime you talk about it as that would just cause hostility immediately.
@@chancesechrist9019 sorry that happened to you but yes to exactly what you said! I was in an abusive relationship years ago and that's how you speak to avoid further arguments/trouble.
this lawyer is going to be really shocked to learn about metaphors and that sometimes people say things that aren't meant literally. I imagine that shock will come around the time the defense loses.
I thought the same thing. He shouldn't even be allowed to say such a thing, coz even if minimally, it can psychologically affect a lawyer or judges judgement on whether to object and sustain an objection. So I was so happy when she objected with relevance straight after he said “I am trying to move this along”.
Its upsetting hearing these snippets of what Johnny went through. It's odd that she and her lawyers thought these secretly recorded audio is proving her being a "victim" when it's actually the complete opposite. I mean how long was she recording him for?? She's inadvertently outing herself as a manipulative calculating narcissistic lunatic. I don't see how she's going to come out of this intact. She ruined his reputation with lies so she deserves what's coming to her
Like why were there recordings anyway? Who records like this in a relationship? Was she gathering material to blackmail or use for this purpose if things ended? This clearly was not a healthy relationship.
she's ruined her reputation simply due to the fact that she secretly and illegally recorded everything. imagine singing an NDA with her name on it only for her to turn around and reveal the contents of it or to do an op ed on it or to reveal secret information to the public in the cut throat business that she is in. I would never hire her ever simply due to Operational and Informational Security risks.
I was thinking about that too. Specially for him as he has been around and known around the globe many times over than her, whose worked with mostly reputable and big name actors and have a relationship with an actress and a singer and they all attest for his innocence. She is in so many ways wrong and evil here.
My respect for him as a father, husband and human has grown a lot. He is a lot less screwed up in his private life than I thought and he has great values. He has shown a huge amount of patience when confronted with the challenge of AH. Most would have given up a lot earlier. He seems to have a really big heart and was an easy victim for her to take advantage of. Her ugly inside will catch up with her eventually. Outside beauty won’t bring you a happy life if it’s all you have.
With everyday after this ridiculous trial who could not love this man more. I don’t ever think he’ll understand what an example he’s being to so many. What a wise man and I’ll say wow 59 years old looks amazing on him.
This vaguely reminds me of ambulance chaser who practices near me named Newlin and his practice is called "Newlin Law" which sounds like New In Law. Lol
After hearing just minutes of these recordings, I also have the uncontrollable urge to leave the room! It'd be so emotionally draining to deal with this daily!
@@wandalee5010 I just told my Son that his Daughter said he was a Great Dad. I had 2 men that I loved both Addicts. I wanted to get them help not record them take pictures when they were down and out. That was cruel. I just started watching this Yesterday. I really don't know much about Johnny Depp and just discovered he had 2 children his Daughter is Beautiful and of course handsome Son. When I first saw this girl Amber I got a bad feeling about her I don't know why. It's terrible to lie on someone she should be punished if she is lying.
Please just once let Johnny say "yes, you read that right, my compliments to your first grade teacher." And "yes, you read it with appropriate dramatic effect." IStandWithJohnnyDepp
I hope the jury is familiar with gaslighting, projection, word salad, circular logic/arguments, blameshifting, and victim blaming. It’s obvious when Amber says certain things in the recordings that’s she’s speaking figuratively, no doubt on purpose for the recording. I guess they are so far into her delusion that they don’t realize how the tone of voice from Johnny and Amber speaks volumes. How absolutely horrendous for Johnny to be put through this. It’s awful, but also laughable how they’re taking tiny little snippets of the 1 second where Johnny yelled something, out of an entire clip of Amber insulting, belittling, ridiculing, mocking, gaslighting, yelling, and manipulating him. All the while not allowing him to speak, in a desperate attempt to box him into the narrow corner they have in order to support their false narrative. It’s infuriating and unjust in every way. How is her attorney being allowed to treat Johnny this way? It doesn’t seem right. I mean obviously the more Johnny speaks, the harder it will be for them to paint their false image of him- but it definitely seems like harassment at this point. The cutting him off, interrupting, ignoring him… very unprofessional. But as to be expected from someone who could sleep at night defending Amber Beard, I suppose. He gets all exasperated and defensive, and expects the judge to bend the rules for him. Entitled and arrogant, just like Amber.
I'VE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF HER.... ITS SO CRAZY THAT SHE PLOTTED ON HIM AND RECORDED ALL OF THIS!!! I DIDNT THINK THEY COULD USE RECORDINGS WHERE THE OTHER PARTY WASNT AWARE THEY WERE BEING RECORDED [x] i'm calling about your car's extended warranty on a recorded line [x]
@@kirittv however, it's being recorded without his knowledge which is illegal and incorrect to their agreement to let the party know when being recorded which JD mentioned in previous.

When you’re standing in your truth there’s no need for a big show, tears, etc. JOHNNY was definitely telling the truth because the fact he had to relive it and talk about showed in his face and his voice. Even saying no one deserves to live like that, taking her into consideration after all she has said and done shows he may have his flaws but in the end he’s a genuine guy that simply wanted to be happy again. So happy he has his life back and the light in his eyes has returned. Peace of mind is PRICELESS.
I started watching this about a couple of days before the verdict... I don't keep up with "celeb news" so I had no idea this lady was an actress or his wife at some point. I was just curious about why JD was suing this random lady lol. But wow!!! This is all so deep. I genuinely hope JD is getting all the love and support he needs now. He has been through sooooo much!!! And it's sickening that she took the opportunity to add to the horrors of his life
when her lawyer said ”in fact.. you tried to hide your drinking from your daughter lily rose didn’t you?🤨” and his lawyer said “ugh, relevance?😒” i felt that
All the audio recordings the defense is entering just help Johnny's case. She is nut job. Anybody who has been with an abuser recognizes what she is doing.
Especially the one where she's screaming "get off of me!" and you can hear him in the distance saying "talk to you later 👋" lol It's crazy that her lawyers think that's a good piece of evidence. Maybe it is if they selected a jury thats hard of hearing 🤣
Most of the people in these comments would fail as the jury. Why can’t people stop being sheep and just watch the case. Neither of them come off well in this
This is fun to go back and revisit this. Rottenborn really thought he was dropping the bomb when reading the hit pieces! Like the jury couldn’t tell the difference between hit pieces and someone making accusations against beating a woman. Read the room Rottenborn! 😂
Gosh the man was truly suffering ... she drove him insane, but he loved her and started taking it out on himslef so he wouldn't crush her skull basically .. a way to dissipate/channel the agony she'd put him through! Poor Johnny !
At a certain point that amount of evidence collection should be considered evidence by itself plus premeditation provocation of legal proceedings. She literally started recording while initiating fights. It wasn't a case of happenstance or situations that are documented by default like email conversations. And if she literally recorded all of their conversations, JD's lawyers would have been legally in the right to demand access to all of them.
@@boooster101 exactly. it also seems like she knew exactly when to record depp. either catching him on a bad day, drunk, or pushing him over the limits. the very moment he breaks or is close to, she seems to always have her recordings turned on.
How many failed recordings did Ms Heard try to catch JD out with a reaction from her provocation . She must have been trying to build up her arsenal for the pending divorce case she had obviously planned. My goodness how he kept his calm I have no idea.
Anyone who has ever endured a partner like Amber Heard can see exactly who she is just by looking at her expression. She deserves the worst penalty permitted.
She gets coached on how she behaves during the trial based on feedback. 1st day, her behaviours was the same as she was in the deposition where she was looking at everything all over the place, 2nd and 3rd day were long stares (must have been coached based on feedback on lack of attentiveness). This went from emotionless to frowns, and now it is looking down and staring at the floor (from the feedback of staring at him and not fearing him). Just an observation
That’s fascinating, and also a little suspect. Isn’t everyone involved in the trial forbidden from reading about, searching the internet or discussing it with anyone? Who’s giving her this feedback?
@@anondecepticon yes, but I believe but information can pass through any source to any source. 🤷🏾♀️ As long as they did not go looking for it. Maybe that's what is not allowed and can be traced

This is truly a toxic relationship, I believe she was the abuser, she provoked him to react that way and then she played the victim. She made these recordings without him knowing.

the “why are all of johnny depp’s movies flopping” one made me cackle. in what world does this equal to being violent?? her legal team are a really bad joke
It amazes me how Johnny stays so calm and polite. I would be livid and some of that lawyers remarks. Johnny maintains his composure throughout the trial.
Right! To only play snippets is super suspicious. And the snippets they played made her look like she was goading him. They took little seconds here and there. Like what? Why aren't they admitting the rest? You can't just take snippets of a conversation without the context behind it. That's what fake news stations do.
Oh, how I would have LOVED to see Ambers female attorney ( not sure how she passed the Bar being unable to form complete sentences) Cross examine Johnny.
He obviously doesn't mind it or he wouldn't be suing. In fact he stated that his intent was to humiliate her in front of the world, and then throws in some hateful slurs to boot.
AH lawyer is vile. The huffing and puffing because he keeps getting stopped is ridiculous. He will do the same thing when AH is up on the stand. Very disrespectful.
this is so excruciatingly sad to watch this lawyer bulldoze over him. my anxiety is through the roof right now. i can’t imagine how he feels, yet again, with no voice.
Your comment gave me goosebumps. No voice, exactly! He didn’t have a voice growing up and now they’re trying to drag him down by not letting him have a voice in court.
How many other people could get away with saying that in court to a lawyer? I've been in court before and as much as you may not like the lawyer, you are to respect them without making little, passive-aggressive comments. That's what it is.
I can only imagine the pain this woman put him through for him to say those things of her. He is amazing. I don't know anyone who has stood thru something like this with such composure.
What upsets me the most is knowing the person you love with every being in you, how on earth can you record your "supposed" loved one in their lowest, most broken intimate moments? When they are confiding in you, wanting to be cared for, listened to, to be understood, to be loved and so much more.... Why amber? Why record these personal moments between you and your husband? I guarantee you if my husband were to be in a dark place i would NEVER EVER record him. My phone would not even be near me, and i would do everything in my power to be there for him. Its absolutely disgusting that you grovel to a low level to show this poor mans weakness to the world; all by you just messing with his mind, his spirit, his heart, and his flesh.... Shame to you on the highest level..karam will come for you soon enough🤬😤😡
That's a powerful message, a year later, this trial is still interesting. I'm in a similar relationship, my girlfriend has/is damaging my soul, even though it's LDR
Can we agree we all hate Rottenborn???? That man is vile. I get he’s HER lawyer, but I saw another commenter on another video making a good point on how he’s questioning him. Exactly how amber would argue with him according to their therapist. Jackhammer type speaking and speaking over him or not allowing him to speak at all. This is so frustrating to watch.
Defense attorneys that take up cases of obviously guilty people. And they KNOW they are guilty. Are always vile. They don't care about justice, they care about making the guilty seem innocent. Because that show's how good they are at lying and manipulation.
He has to vehemently defend his client to earn the millions he’s charging for her defense. However he did have a few good cross examination moments but maybe he isn’t aware his obnoxious attitude may have a negative effect on the jury. I felt he would be better showing that Johnnys career is fine and the tabloids had little effect on his acting gigs.
@@fadymatta4773 Right? I keep thinking "Oh man, this is great evidence Johnny's team is using to show her escalating things towards hostility and manipulation".
