I wasn't necessarily an over the top Johnny Depp fan ..... TBH, my favorite movie of his this far has been "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" ....loved that movie. However....I've GENUINELY gained respect for the man since watching this trial. After hearing some of the interaction between him and Ms. Amber .... I DON'T know HOW he remained so calm during some of the moments of her pitching tantrums like a spoiled brat ... It's ABSURD!🥵

I'm the opposit of Lori, I knew Depp since 22 Jump street and knew nothing about Amber, I think America is siding with the new OJ Simpson ignoring all evidence against him

Just remember how horrible it actually feels to be in such a relationship and having a partner that initiates, instigates and perpetuates negativity in the worst and most manipulative way. Now imagine they say YOU are the aggressor and abuser and run around yelling whoever will listen. Family, friends, small town all talking. All while not being true or only taking things out of context - they can start an argument, say the most horrible and deep cutting things, manipulate you in the moment and you react and call them a c*nt and leave. Now they are happy to get on the phone when you go to work and tell everyone how abusive he is that “he just says terrible things out of the blue, he verbally abuses me, he called me a c*nt last night!”. It’s horrible, most men have a vulnerable side that is usually shared with their spouse or partner. Imagine you slowly figure out that you were genuine and they were not, they were hiding things and manipulating rather than really feeling and understanding you and respecting you as you do to them. Gaslighting making you question yourself, over long periods of time like years, you may try anything to solve it, like accepting all responsibility and accepting the other ‘warts and all’ - you can loose yourself and your mind is in survival mode and you just operate in a different way, it’s hard to break away from. Men can be tormented unfairly by a woman just like a man can do to a woman. It’s wrong even if no actual physical violence takes place. It’s just not a healthy way to be and shouldn’t be excused as it can be extremely damaging. Maybe this is why men kill themselves the most???

I see absolutely NOTHING that suggests anyone was "coming for his career"". This is just how a trial works. Cops get asked tough and detailed questions; it is not personal, and they know that.

I don’t think that was their angle. They were trying to make the point that the officer did not conduct an independent investigation, and so his record that it was a verbal dispute only was not conclusive. Not very effective imo, because the testimonies of the other two officers were convincing. The only point they were able to make was that if the officers did see signs of violence and since they are duty bound to make a report if they do, that they have an interest in maintaining their position at the time of interview to avoid personal consequences. But they were unable to show that the officers had any reason to not make a report if they saw anything, and unable to show that the officers were just negligent, so it didn’t work. The sort of accusatory tone of some of the questions they asked were intended to make the officer look uncomfortable with the line of questioning. The more uncomfortable the officer acts, the better it looks for them: like maybe the officer is trying to conceal their negligence or something. It’s didn’t work- the officers (all three) stayed cool. That was my understanding, anyway.

They have to ask that question to prove that Amber may have had concealer on, in a particular shade to cover her bruises and still look natural.. that she could have been wearing that particular shade of concealer to hide her injuries and that in fact he would be none the wiser if that were the case. This is what happens in a trial. This is what lawyers have to do. What Amber's lawyer is doing here (and 95% of commenters don't seem to understand it) is proving that Amber did not concoct a hoax - which is Depp's allegation. Her questions and the video are showing that Amber was not trying to invent a big story for the cops. She didn't show them her injuries, nothing.
