The only sound effect on the sax is how the tongue is manipulated on the reed as you blow. There is a fine art to it. You can also change your tone depending on the quality of reed used. So no artificial manipulation.
cry in shame is his pre Diesel days. Then they were known as Jonny Diesel and the injectors then but after this album he brought out Hepfidelity and started using the single Diesel name. I heard it was due in part to many big stars doing it like Madonna, Sting, Prince etc. He is very talented for sure
Soul Revival and Parisienne Hotel were my other favorites off the Diesel and Injectors album. Great music from the now dead days of Australian pub rock. Woke councils, Radio stations and record companies deliberately destroying this brand of Australian music.
Should have avoided Jimmy Barnes and joined INXS when Hutchence died! That is a sax - just like the one in INXS. Think about it. Shut your eyes and imagine any rockin' good INXS song sung by young Diesel.... Imagine his songs with that band! They also all come from good old Perth, Australia, and there was no need for a "reality" TV show to find a lame Yank.
