The Clark Sisters were formed in Detroit in 1966. They are a legendary gospel group , with 16 Albums and three Grammys to their credit. They are the highest grossing gospel group ever!
Every year, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation puts on a Gospel Concert that is free and open to the public, but primarily for New Orleans Senior Citizens, called Johnny Jackson, Jr. Gospel Is Alive. Started by the Honorable former City Councilmember, Johnny Jackson, Jr. and organized by a host of supporters and participants, this concert offers a free glimpse at what goes on in the Gospel tent to those who can not brave standing, the heat, rain, etc. This show, as you will see, is a show stopper.
