I'm still a fan. I think he is raw talent and a great player. Cleveland is a place where careers go to die. People act like what team you sign with doesnt matter, but it does and it ruined johnnys career.
Skip Bayless sports opinions should never be taken seriously. First Take was and will always be an entertainment show filled with over the top hyperbole. I like it the same way I like Bill Walton's announcing. I laugh at how ridiculous it is lol. Don't like the show as much since Skip left though.
Fucking sucks because I wanted him to do well. That's why I don't like him any more. He is being offered all the support in the world and still never listens
Dany Fucking Heatley #50in07 #FuckingAllStar worst part is he wasn't that bad considering the Browns o line, he actually could of had a career but threw it away
Johnny Manziel is interested in being famous regardless of whether he's playing football or not. Football got him noticed and his antics got him famous. He's exactly where he wants to be with the media's help. He comes from a very wealthy family with a net worth of $50 million, so he doesn't care that he lost out on $2 million from his NFL contract. He's famous and he's still rich which he thinks gives him a license to act a fool. He's not a football player, lets get that straight. He's nothing more than a socialite like Paris Hilton or the Kardashians.
I'm a big Manziel fan he was the most exciting college quarterback I ever seen I thought he would be a superstar in the nfl I've been incredibly wrong about that but I hope he gets another chance in the nfl as a starter but my gut tells me Johnny Manziel is officially a "has been" a "what if" a "could've been" a "do you remember"
Johnny Manziel is a spoiled kid. Yeah he won the heisman, he had potential to be a superstar qb in the NFL. But money and him coming from a wealthy background got in his head. And now he ain't got no career
MegaTkls wasn't really summarizing lol. I'm just saying there's some people that try to defend him but they don't recognize the truth and how it really is about him
This guy - like so many - went to rehab, got out and went straight back to the things he was doing that got him into rehab. What people don't seem to get - the easiest place on the planet to get clean & sober is a treatment center. When we leave and face the world - that's when the After-care programs, all treatment centers provide, come into play. We have to embrace the fact - clean & sober is a huge lifestyle change and 4-5 weeks in treatment is NOT the cure. It IS a great head-start to acquiring tools necessary to move forward. If Manziel is the garden-variety alcoholic/addict he seems to be - I'd love to see this guy play football without that monkey on his back. I think he's a world-class douche-bag - but I'd still like to see him at his best. Could be a lot of fun.
What the fuck did they expect? They way overhyped him, they made him seem like he was a God, they handed him millions of dollars on a silver platter, they sold him as the next icon of the NFL, and because of this not only did he not even get 10 TDs in his career but he could barely finish two seasons. The fame went immediately to his head, and he became egotistical, and now no one wants to sign him.
Manziel was not overhyped not as many people as you think were high on Johnny But he was very good. You are right about the ego. His career isn't over i dont think you understand how hard it is to play at that level.I know him he is a good kid.He just has to look himself in the mirror first even he doesnt play another snap of football i dont give a shit him just being alive and well is way more important than football.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure we can credit this to the parents to some degree. Johnny comes from a crazy wealthy family, with roots in the oil business. It was so obvious he was spoiled as a child, and given his insane talent on the field, he was likely given special treatment in school too. His parent's most likely didn't instill in him any sense of valuable work ethic and high moral standards, and that getting by on your talent is good enough. Good job mom and dad......good job.
It will open: What if I told you. There was a kid that out in the Texas Plains could run for days. Where the talent seemed to be ever growing, and the kids heart was that of passion. Then he won the heisman.
John will not get the help he needs, plus the motivation to follow through, until he hits rock bottom, aka sick and tired of being sick and tired. 12 step programs are not for those who NEED it, but for those who WANT it. How do I know? 27 plus years of clean and sober. The praise does not go to me, but to my Higher Power (HP). His Dad is right to give him tough love.
I never believed that Johnny Manziel would have success in the NFL. He didn't strike me as someone who could immediately handle the pressure of being a professional quarterback! As exciting as he was in college, I only projected him worthy of a top 100 pick who would be given every opportunity to grow and prove himself but was he worthy of a 1st round contract? Absolutely not, but when the Browns drafted him, I thought "Of course" and couldn't have rolled my eyes any harder.
Will E. Imagine the browns getting Carr and the raiders getting Manziel..huge bullet is an understatement...the raiders would've left for Vegas that year
The only reason Johnny Manziel went to the Browns cause he was hoping they'd have another Bottlegate game so he could get all the free beer thrown onto the field.
I din't see how people say this kid had all the potential in the world. Manziel is a distraction in the locker room, he's not a hard worker, prefers partying over training. His pocket awareness is average at best, his arm is okay and his accuracy is on his off. Not to mention his wild playing style that will get an undersized QB injured in no time. Manziel is only good when the pocket breaks down and he makes some crazy throws when scrambling. But other of that, I don't see him having success in the NFL
He actually looked good he only played a handful of games not to mention with the browns all they have is Joe Thomas and Joe Haden he cant stay healthy. Really only had Benjamin and i believe Barndige howver you spell his name it is hard to play at that level ask anyone.Johnny didnt even like playing in Cleveland.
He defends himself by saying you’ve seen me here 5-6 nights in a row.. He’s clearly drunk in the video and anyone sober knows going to night clubs suck unless you are intoxicated.
The problem is this guy doesn't know shit about the struggles of stressing over bill's or having to take care of someone. His family is wealthy so it's not like he's going to be working at a gas station.
Fun fact, he will be signing autographs for cash down the street from the Super Bowl. Canadian football calls, that's this jag offs last chance if he goes there and behaves and performs for a few years at a high level the NFL will come a calling. John it's your only chance.
+James Boyles yes I did, he was overhyped. He was short, had bad accuracy, never played in a pro style offense, couldn't keep his eyes downfield when the rush was coming, and want mature.
The thing about Manziel that this report inaccurately states that he was talented. Nothing could be further from the truth. He was never talented enough to be a franchise QB.
Straight up, if the browns didnt draft him he WOULDVE been something. Just think of it- shitty team- shitty decisions especially when u got a boatload of money
Besides that assault charge, (which might be dismissed), trashing rental houses, drug and alcohol abuse and overall destructive attitude, what is wrong with the lifestyle he is living ?
Was actually more funny is I'm hearing advertisements on what to invest my money on from a guy who does more drugs than a drug dealer, who is sponsoring the ad.
I think if the signing autographs in college for money he would be a starter for the Browns rn or probably a better team that's the reason why he really got drafted so late..after that I think his head got fucked up going from heisman to late first round I hope for the best for money manziel tho
To much money to fast. He never would be a joe Montana or a Peyton Manning Jerry Rice ect... do you know why?? because these guys worked hard and didn't have money thrown at them most them guys are in there 50's and older and they had to work hard just to pay the bills.
+ForiegnXdriver813 How is he worse? Ryan Leaf was charged with seven counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and one count of delivery of a simulated controlled substance, all felonies... also has been charged with burglery on three separate occasions.
The G.O.A.T Films The only reason Johnny hasn't had to steal drugs is because his parents are multi-millionaires. He'll never need to steal anything in his life. Drugs and booze will be flowing to him until he dies, which means the only way he can get out is by building his own character as a man to stand up and refuse those opportunities.
