I'm seeing in you something The life you're wanting takes too long You seem so heavy I'm fine just talking if you want Don't want to be the messenger I'm seeing in you something Your eyes are open and you're on I'm here and I'm ready My time's for taking if you want Who wants to be a messenger ? Who wants to be the messenger ?
Special pop music has a lightness that makes it seem throwaway, but which,at the end of the day, is a contributing ingredient to its specialness, its greatness.
This video is a prime example of how important music video still is today. It flows so well and really illustrates the sound of the track. Piece of art - love it, well done.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't know Johnny Marr HAD any solo stuff - I thought he was in some bands, but that's it. Please accept my apologies for my ignorance, Mr. Marr. And please know I'll be buying your albums on my next paycheque. ALSO, I now realize the reason I love The Smiths so much was your guitar and rhythms. Morrissey's lyrics were good for some songs, but now I know what kept drawing me back! I guess it takes 20 years to realize things sometimes. :) Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
I just can't stop dancing my brains around this wonderful masterpiece !!! ??? ... Nod Nod Clap. Nod Nod Clap Clap... .... Clap .... Boom Boom Boom. Who Wants To Be A Messenger ? ...... ME !... I DO !
If i could five a thousands likes to this, I would. What an hell of a guitarist. He poures so much emotion into what He does you don't even care where He steals his Riffs from.
I'm definitely gonna buy this record. Hell, if Johnny threw his guitar down a staircase, recorded the sound and made it a record... I'd buy that one too.
Yes but think of them as people - it wouldn't be the same now! They're older, times have changed, they've all moved on, yes it would be great but Johnny's put so much work into this and I think it's great he does a variety of things!
Johnny's playing takes you on a journey....of mystery, suspense....like few other players can. I cant really put it into words beyond that. its something you experience, not write about.
Lyrics: I'm seeing in you something The life you're wanting takes too long You seem so heavy I'm fine just talking if you want Don't want to be the messenger I'm seeing in you something Your eyes are open and you're on I'm here and I'm ready My time's for taking if you want Who wants to be a messenger? Who wants to be the messenger?
Damn. Marr's guitar is just THAT good isn't it. Thought I'd grown tired of this sound, but...he's just so damn good at what he does. A real shame this guitar and Moz's voice will never meet again. A real shame. Apart they are decent, together they are...well they are the Smiths! What else needs to be said really! :D
