In all the lists of top guitarists, Johnny Marr rarely is mentioned. A shame.

Special pop music has a lightness that makes it seem throwaway, but which,at the end of the day, is a contributing ingredient to its specialness, its greatness.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't know Johnny Marr HAD any solo stuff - I thought he was in some bands, but that's it. Please accept my apologies for my ignorance, Mr. Marr. And please know I'll be buying your albums on my next paycheque. ALSO, I now realize the reason I love The Smiths so much was your guitar and rhythms. Morrissey's lyrics were good for some songs, but now I know what kept drawing me back! I guess it takes 20 years to realize things sometimes. :) Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

johnny marr has like evolved into a modern musician but still being him, its amaze.

Any time you can still write a song in 2012 that makes guitars relevant, you've done something special.

Johnny's playing takes you on a journey....of mystery, suspense....like few other players can. I cant really put it into words beyond that. its something you experience, not write about.

Seen Johnny live Hollywood in 03, and in Pomona in 2010 got to shake his hand on his way up on stage, Johnny is the an awesome man and musician.

Damn. Marr's guitar is just THAT good isn't it. Thought I'd grown tired of this sound, but...he's just so damn good at what he does. A real shame this guitar and Moz's voice will never meet again. A real shame. Apart they are decent, together they are...well they are the Smiths! What else needs to be said really! :D

This is an absolute ringer for The View - The Clock which they released about 4 months ago, uncanny. Cracking tune though, god bless Johnny Marr.
