So glad you enjoy listening to Johnny, i was fortune to be in the front row audience when Johnny made his very first visit to London in about1960, i was just 16 then and my date that night later became my wife, Johns voice was sensational and presence on stage awesome, i had just bought the album "Ill buy you a star" and glad he sang many songs from it, Englands finest band led by Ted Heath backed him up and superbly copied the arrangements that Nelson Riddle did for album i just bought. I am a very very big fan of Johnny but must had i only bought and still play a lot his first 20 odd albums because Johnny sang so well and the albums so good in choce of songs and arrangements, thats me i suppose, big fan but only early stuff.
just recently talked to my grandmother about music and she recommended Johnny to me. I’ve heard him during the holidays but I’ve just gone down a rabbit hole in shock of what a talent he is. Thus, came across your video and at the perfect time because I’m a vinyl collector and this will be a perfect guide. Good stuff!
Thank "U" so much for this "RU-vid" presentation. As lengthy as it was, I was very proud of "U" in placing this video for other ta "C" & share whereas no other individual(s) has presented this kind of video representation for giving updated Johnny Mathis (JM) vinyl information to those who want to add to their already JM collected albums. I too have 'bout 50 percent of JM collected albums, that "U" have shown in yer presentation, that is in my possession, & with yer information (name of album) in yer video, I now plan to search those JM album name(s) that I don't have with yer information that "U" have provided. I don't care if individuals don't appreciate my "crooner romantic" music, by JM. However, I look toard their respect to me for my kinda genre type of music as I respectfully give it back to their kinda genre style of music. I have loved, as well as listened, to JM for tha past 60 years with discoverin' JM, in 1960, with my folk's JM album "Faithfully". This is where it all started my love for JM. For tha time being, I appreciate "RU-vid" for me to "B" able to listen to those JM albums of songs I don't have, as well as the JM albums songs I do have. I really enjoyed yer video & look forward to collectin' those JM albums, that "U" provided album title to, that I don't have yet. Again thanks. Bob The Builder👷
I grew up on Johnny's Christmas music, but I became a huge fan of his in 1995 when I bought a 4-disc CD box set of his. From then on, I collected everything and have seen him in concert about 16 times. I was 19 years old in 1995, so I got a lot of comments about being a huge Johnny Mathis fan. But as you've noticed, his music is so awesome, who cares.
Hey Johnny - I picked up a mint copy of Heavenly at Good Will for a buck - only for misty being on it. His 70's stuff when I was in Army was decent and the Xmas album is a classic. Rare you see a review of his stuff. Good job !

That is not his total albums I have all and they go into the years of 2000. And his first greatest hits album stayed on billboards top 100 charts for a record 9 and a half years!! Any one who really knows about singing knows that Johnny Mathis was probably the most vocal singer in america.
By the way Johnny Mathis has sold Over 36000000 million Albums all over the world making him the third biggest album selling artists only behind Elvis presley and frank Sinatra! And in my opinion Johnny Mathis could out sing both of them! Just my opinion.
