He makes me FEEL. I forgot after a while how important that is but his music brought me back to really feeling life! He probably has no idea how many people he has affected in such a positive way❤️
Johnny Rivers was one of the favorite musicians of my Brothers and sister and I growing up. Still love everything he does and brings back great memories. Thank you Johnny and God bless from Patrick

I first heard this in Vietnam (69-70) Loved it then and love it now. Funny how you virtually never hear a singer/songwriter referred to as a tunesmith. Jimmy Webb is among the best
wow, wished I had been a couple of years older I would have been there!!...wonder if there is a 'live" recording of it?....have no idea who at the record company didn't think this would have been a major hit for Rivers and webb!!??

+santorio55 hey thanks for the info. I did not know that. This is maybe my all time fav Rivers tune. Johnny's been my favorite singer for 40 plus years. He long over due for induction into the Rock and Roll hall of fame.
It WAS a single HIT! Don't remember if it was high up, on the charts. I bought the 45 RPM single, just days after I first heard it! Have a huge stash of old hippie era 45s. Collected them, bought new, for about .. erm....too many years! Haha . . Peace, ..
This album I had the pleasure of listening to as a young kid. I babysit at 9 yrs. Listening to this during a bad Thunderstorm Scared,frightened to death,iplayed this to give me comfort all alone for 2 days.
It's amazing that we don't have radio stations that play nothing but Johnny Rivers...he was so magnificent and his songs were majestic...this little noticed tune dwarfs everything around these days....and he made all songs sound like they were his... Did the Fifth Dimension do this song?
At first blush it seems POP, and mundane. COOL! Great lead cut! But for those few of us who communicate via the Cosmos, ( tuned-in and receiving) NOT projecting and wholly involved in our 3-D entanglement, in this earthly realm, its profound, other-dimensional, higher plane of existence 'essence' is cryptic but obvious, ...concurrently. ♥ PEACE, ... No, I'm not HIGH through better chemistry of humankind, ..haven't done any sh*t since May of 1988. Haha . . *It's just that I'm not ..erm... from around here. :P
