Back in the late 70's I used to hang out with 4 girls, no relationships, just great fun, great laughs and great company. Every Friday would be our Night Out and invariably we would end up at Jane's drinking that last glass of wine and listening to Johnny. No matter what time it was, we would lie in the lounge and listen to the whole album. Mellow, mellow mellow. Still love his music - it's timeless!
Wait a minute did I hear you say you're going far away again Try to change it I can't take the lonely nights without your love Doing the road get the music done and move along What good does it do playing songs for her and hear her say Wait a minute did I hear you say you're going far away again Try to change it I can't take the lonely nights without your love You're rolling along life's been good to you and even so She comes to you late at night's the time you hear her say once again Wait a minute did I hear you say you're going far away again Try to change it I can't take the lonely nights without your love I'm waiting for you thirty days and nights without a rest You got to hold on twenty five to go and once again I'll hear you say hey!! Wait a minute did I hear you say you're going far away again Try to change it I can't take the lonely nights without your love
I have the album,in a cassette: Last Boogie in Paris with this track and other classics. One of the best versions.Other GREAT version comes from the album: Long Time...Seldom Scene,by Seldom Scene.
@@marioct130, nope. I just looked up the album on discogs. Herb sang harmony vocals on the Johnny Rivers album and is himself a fine steel player, but the steel player on the album is the late great Bobbe Seymour. That was definitely NOT Herb's steel style.
