I met Jonny when I was 12 years old, in 2004. We entered a competition in the Daily Telegraph to spend and evening with Jonny and Mr Hackett, at the Hackett store in London. I can hand on heart say he is the single biggest inspiration I have ever had in my life, he was absolutly amazing with me and my brother that night, made us feel so welcome and there was no nerves. I would just like to say Jonny Wilkinson is the greatest ambassador not only for rugby but for Britain there is. Thank you Jonny

I adore his modesty. I've noticed no fellow players appear to be jealous or envious of his success.

It's an absolute travesty that Wilkos career was blighted with injury. His autobiography is the most engaging i've ever read. One of the greatest number 10s and a seemingly sound guy to boot.

he's so modest! after everything he's done he could brag and have the biggest ego in the world. but he keeps is head down to earth. a honourable and noble man, if i could be half the man he is i would be happy

It's funny how when wilkinson comes back after injury he keeps on taking the six nations top scorer record away from Ronan O'Gara, he is a true legend i can't remember ever seeing him miss a kick.. But watching dan carter play is just amazing, love how he runs with the ball, side stepping and spinning out of tackles, great ball holder.

i started to work hard on my kicking skills after training mostly because of him being such a great fly half / role model...i wish more women would play and get better and be like that - i wonder how that would motivate female rugby players like me.

well he is a pretty intelligent guy, unfortunately you can tell that he has never done an interview before, he looks quite shy. But yea he is very well educated. It seems like he doesn't like the fame very much, he is pretty modest as people go.
