Well, thats downtown JC, such as it is. The real flavor of the community is in its connection to East Tn State Univ. and the Mountain Home VA Hospital. It's inbetween Tennessee's two oldest towns, Jonesboro and Elizabethton TN. which have a nice vibe. TRUE FACT: Johnson City used to be called Little Chicago because of it's moonshine-mob connections and the fact Al Capone use to hangout there to escape scrutiny from the Feds.

I worked for the JC public works dept. for 40+ years ad retired n 2019. Wish you would have shown Founders Park. Along with king commons.

,King commons is the name of that park right there they just put it there a couple years ago, and this is also just downtown johnson city we have a whole other part. North Roan street has the johnson city mall and then we have 2 walmarts, target, alot more this is just a small portion of johnson city.

That park was the location of the downtown movie theater, it's roof collapsed in the early 90's.

@conniedlawson people are on the move all around the nation. So I wish I could help, but it's not up to me. There is a lot of people moving south from the north and west because of the cost of living. Even where I live, we are getting a lot of people from Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
