The Pratt Library broke ground on its newest library last Thursday. A new branch of the Pratt Library serving the Johnston Square neighborhood is expected to begin construction in Summer 2024 as part of a new mixed-use building.
The new building, part of the Johnston Square Vision Plan, at 1100 Greenmount Avenue is a 109-unit, mixed-income multifamily building that will house families with incomes between 30% and 80% of Area Median Income and will include a new branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library on the ground floor. The Johnston Square Vision Plan, created by neighborhood residents and stakeholders, provides a roadmap for equitable neighborhood reinvestment.
A very special thanks to Mayor Brandon Scott, ReBUILD Metro, Senator Cory McCray, Secretary Jake Day, and Rebuild Johnston Square.
