The Johor Zoo, said to be the oldest Zoo in Malaysia, is expected to reopen to the public by the end of this year.
The Zoo johor, located along Jalan Gertak Merah, Johor Bahru first opened in 1928.
Back then, it was named ‘’Kebun Binatang’’ or animal garden, and was the first of its kind in South-east Asia at that time. And now Johor zoo 2023 & zoo johor 2023.
On April 1, 1962, the zoo was handed over to Johor state government and was opened to the public that same year.

the 95-year-old Zoo Johor Bahru Malaysia, closed since 2020, will reopen by the end of the year after extensive upgrading works has been welcomed by many.
Upon appointing a contractor, work would begin in July to meet the target of completion in December.
