On this day my wife and I went to take delivery of our newest dump truck. We named her Faith because that is what we are led by in all we do! Music by: Go follow: Xris Bradley on RU-vid and all music platforms
Wow that’s so kind! Yes we both are definitely excited as we grow. We agreed to only grow our company as we learn so it’s been a slow grind for us to adding units for we didn’t want to make the mistake of out growing our experience level! Now we’re ready to rock and roll!
I like the new truck . I was wondering what kind of work you do because we run quads in North Carolina . People in comments are talking about the DD13 . They pull like a Cat with alot of low end torque .
I do mostly asphalt work. I’ve only owned trucks with DD13’s so I can’t do a fair comparison for you. We aren’t too much on trying to get anywhere fast because all we do is sit and wait most days anyway.
Nice truck! What kind of fuel economy do you get? What axle ratio did you pick? What Allison is that? How do you like the power with the DD13/Allison combo? Make sure you grease those front king pins and all the bushings on a new truck, you don’t know how well they were greased or if they were ever greased. They may only have assembly grease. Make it last!
Thanks! Funny thing is I still personally drive a conversion 2010 Cascadia 10 speed on bags 🤷🏽♂️ named Sheila but she’s my baby and the bread winner of the stable
he has blessed you with a Western Star 49x and his angels are building an Eastern Star 89h which is heaven's version of a Western Star49x for you and your wife
Dear sir, I hope this message finds you well. I’ve been following your journey in the dump truck business on RU-vid and have been truly inspired by your success and insights. I obtained my CDL-A license in 2018, but I haven’t utilized it as I was a teacher until recently. I made a quiet exit from teaching due to the constant scrutiny from superiors and the increasing difficulty of the job, despite my love for the students. I am now seeking a career change into the dump truck industry and would greatly appreciate your advice on getting started. Specifically, I am interested in whether I should initially work for a union or non-union company. I’ve seen many trucks on the road and assume there are pros and cons to both. Additionally, I’m curious if it would be wise to gain a year or two of experience before purchasing my own truck and starting my own business. I value being home with my family daily or every other day and want to ensure this career choice supports that goal. Your guidance would mean a lot to me as I look for a positive change and a successful future in this industry. Thank you for your time and advice. John
We have been very fortunate to employ a great team. Everyone is like family to me! If you want it and you are willing to sacrifice your time and energy to learn the trade you can do it sir! I knew nothing about the trade when I started but we dedicated ourselves to growing slowly and efficiently!
@@RDKWayMike thanks for your reply sir, I currently work as a diesel tech working on big rigs , so I am wanting to learn as much as possible also and one day be able to do what you do ! And create generational wealth for my family
Should have got your triaxle with a 8-speed transmission instead of automatic. But most definitely you should have got a trifle truck. I'm from the south. We don't have triangles we don't make money. What is that? A 16-yard dump that ain't worth a damn. Let's see how long that transmission holds up with you. I give it a year year and a half unless you can't drive a HP or 10. I guess you didn't have a chores button to go with a automatic. Anyway, you going to realize you need a track?
Not one of your claims were close to correct for my experience and business but I’m sure you have some personal experience with those types of issues and I’m sorry for you! I’ll keep praying for God to look over my business and my family and I think we will be just fine sir! God bless your business and your great equipment!
