It is a new year, which means a new online mystery quilt course all about applique and quilt as you go.
In 2020 we started doing online courses throughout the lockdown as we could no longer travel to craft shows to sell our patterns. This led to our RU-vid channel and now the yearly tradition of doing an online mystery quilt course. This will be our 5th online course, and we love the connections we make with wonderful quilters worldwide and hope you will join us for our 2023 intake! We love to do a mystery as we feel it removes expectations on what students think they can achieve. Each year we have a theme, but be prepared to be surprised as the quilt never turns out how you would expect. To make the quilt you will need the course notes. You can pay upfront for the course notes and have them emailed to you or buy them as they are released weekly.
If you are one of our regulars, we are excited and grateful for you signing up and quilting with us again this year! We hope you will take the plunge with us if you are new here. By the end of this course, you will have made your own quilt as you go quilt from start to finish! We are focusing on applique this year because it is easier for beginners to get used to sewing on their machine and also allows advanced quilters to explore the array of decorative/free-motion stitches they can do. There is no need to line seams up perfectly or cut out your blocks to the accurate size. Applique quilt-as-you-go quilts are incredibly flexible in construction, so you can not go wrong! We will be here to guide you through our videos and are available to answer questions. Not only that, you will have the support of our community of experienced quilters who have been quilting with us for over 20 years. So if you are a very beginner, intermediate, getting back into it, or advanced, we would love to have you!
