I tried fasting for Ramadan for 3 days: no food, or water all day. All I can say is that it really allowed me to find a new appreciation for food & water, the things which keep us alive.
Each year, almost 2 billion Muslims fast for Ramadan. As a non-Muslim traveler, I was curious about what it must be like to abstain from eating food and drinking water from sunrise to sunset for 30 days.
