I remember seeing the video where he paints all the JoJos and he used both fashion magazine and books Greek and Renaissance statues as references for poses, faces but also anatomy and how clothes shoud look like is a certain pose. It was really interesting to see his creative process.
It’s probably the best album cover they have (And it’s for their only good album, what do you know) and my favorite pose of the series aside from Josuke’s Micheal Jackson ass looking pose and that one where Young Joseph is contorting his body to form a pose not humanly possible.
I've always tried using references but my art always turned out too stiff ive been using this method and I see so much improvement. Freaking love it. Probably because the poses are so static which I really enjoy seeing
The pose of the first picture was actually araki's Idol He loved it so much he had an inspiration of the pose and the song killer queen which was Freddie Mercury
