While this is a super fun story, there's something that's really bothering me. Not in the writing, but in the premise. They said the girl got in a car crash, and her hands became paralyzed? Unless her entire body was paralyzed, which it wasn't, since she jumped out of the window, I don't think that sort of thing can happen to just her hands or even just her arms.. I find it a lot more likely that the story had been changed over the years, since Hazamada said the story was at least ten years old, and that originally she might have lost her hands in a different way. An encounter with a certain serial killer, maybe. Spooky..
Extensive nerve damage can actually render the arms useless even after the rest of the body recovers. But yeah, I agree with you that word of mouth and the like have changed the story a ton, assuming it even happened in the first place.
I wish the gang did go back to the high school at night, used Crazy Diamond to fix the ghost girl's hands (if that works; just going off Heaven's Door's ability to rewrite Reimi), and stay to listen to her play and help her pass on. I'm sure there's more than enough room for another feel good moment in Morioh.
*I KNEW IT, I FUCKING CALLED IT, MORIOH IS HAUNTED* god, i'd pay mad money for a spin-off series about Josuke and the gang going around Morioh ghost hunting, the battles would be Stand vs Ghost rather than Stand vs Stand.
While I agree there could be some good horror stories if Araki really tried (well, all of Rohan's spin offs have him encountering ghosts), but Speak Evil is right, Araki made his ghosts really weak: they only can enter empty rooms or to wait for people to open doors for them, because it means you are "inviting a ghost in" (dog/cat doors, mail slots also count), if a ghost touches a person by a accident they loose all their limbs, although they can reform, they can be easily be beaten by Stands, there's some spiritual things called erasers who eat ghosts limb by limb.
Perona as you can see with Reimi and Rohan, Stands can hurt ghosts. He can just use Heaven's door on them and write "I will go to hell" then ghosts will vanish after.
I honestly find it insane how Josuke knows Koichi and Rohan have met an actual ghost, he has psychic powers and knows vampires exist yet still brushes off Okuyasu's story.
I thought the girl was gonna be Yukako having followed Koichi into the school, and the reason they didn't hear her go up the floors was because she used her hair.
I think this is before they're finding out kira yoshikage is the serial killer, because they refer kira as the murderer implies they didn't know kira's identity yet and koichi didn't date yukako too yet also when okuyasu wishes for winning a lottery implies josuke and okuyasu didn't meet shigechi yet but after koichi and rohan met reimi since they brought up about her. so, at this time, reimi didn't go to heaven yet
At first I thought why aren't they using their stands? Because I've seen that stand can affect the ghost's as well just like with reimi when rohan used heavens door on her. Anyways I thought they won't use their stands till the chase starts beginning and Josuke starts to break things
