The anthem of the United States playing first is a perfect introduction to the first half of Funny Valentine's personality, as it emphasises his patriotism and sense of justice. The second part however, reveals his true, more willing, menacing and powerful personality to achieve his own goals, while also aiming at favoring the fate and luck of the United States, compared to rest of the world during the Steel Ball Run race. Truly, the epitome of an *uncrumpled* villain.

The beginning gives me chills. Honestly. Valentine has always been a character I call scum some days, and admire other days. Even if he really wasn't a good person, he has a very selfless goal. Possibly more so than any other villain in the entire series. Even minor villains. I find him to be one of the most interesting and well constructed characters in the series, and I always look back to certain scenes like the napkin scene and the final fight with admiration. I wouldn't call him a good person, but I'd say he's a very good example of someone who had a truly noble goal, but with a rotten core
@@ourgloriousgodoursaviourbe2757 Yeah, the way Pucci did his plan was horrible and involved a lot of collateral damage, but he just wanted people to live peacefully without having nasty surprises ruin their lives. He was willing to die to achieve his goal. But Valentine treated his subordinates like dirt, tried to rape a 14 year old, and used the Corpse’s ultimate ability as a massive human shield, bringing untold misery on several people. Then, when he realized that he was going to lose, he unleashed an psychotic version of Diego just so Johnny wouldn’t get the Corpse.

I have a memory of folding napkin a certain way, so the cutlery fits inside, I learnt this 8 years ago, I always take my napkin from my left, but then fold it the certain way then place it on my right.
I love that those themes are so good, the United States Anthem can represent the patriotism of Valentine but also his past with the death of his father but also the sadness that he feel since his childhood to not have a father, the only things he had was his mother and the patriotism of his father. Then the sadness became hate, evil and desire of justice with his 2nd theme
Valentine is one of the most well written jojo characters, and the best written antagonist. Despite being the villain the fact he is a politician makes some of his acts justified, or so it seems. He is also the coolest one ever, like who would you think of has an American flag scarred on their back?

I love Valentine as a villain, he is so charismatic and confident he even charms us the reader. He is a villain who puts up a veil similar to a magician (On a side note, fun fact: D4C’s design was influenced by magicians), tricking those around him into thinking he is just. He may even be deceiving himself, making himself believe he has noble and selfless intentions while deep down he does not. I really love Araki’s villains.
Now it's obvious that Friedich is going to make themes of the most important characters of part 7, so, taking that on count, I think the next theme will be Diego's theme, and I swear if he uploads Diego's theme then I'm going to fricking go crazy O_O oh and I love this theme dude, veeeerry good job :D ( edit: so...Diego's theme is the next one friedrich? really?! thats so greaaat!! ill be waiting patiently for you to make it, take your time pall :,) )
