They won. Not the mirror ball, but they made a statement like no other dancer, no other couple. Bruno's comment about him wishing JoJo was around when he was a kid is everything. She's here now and this is just the beginning of the positive impact she has made and will make on other kids and adults who identify as lgbtq. Bravo to Iman and Daniella, but I feel the real win goes to JoJo and Jenna.
so agree. ive literally never watched this show but was so captured by jojo i watched the finale lol. its so cool to see, like kids now just see this!!! when i was little this would never be a thing and im not even that old. its just so good
This is the coolest dance I've ever seen on dwts, period. It's not only technically perfect, but it's so so meaningful. When the background dancers paired up in m/m and f/f couples I got chills!!! And Jojo looked so confident and beautiful, she owned that stage. Jenna and Jojo's partnership is epic, and it's going to be remembered as such!
WOW! THAT PERFORMANCE LOOKED LIKE A PRO DANCE! People say “I don’t want to watch people who have previous dance experience”… Screw that! I just want to watch incredible dancing and Jojo/Jenna have CONSISTENTLY delivered! So sad they didn’t win. They really deserved it. But like many of my favorites in the past, they never win - Riker Lynch, Zendaya, James Hinchcliff, Milo Manheim, Nev Schulman… I could go on and on.
@@Isabrad1 sure it is. You should be confident in your dancing before being in a dance competition, that is how competitions work. Youre not supposed to compete in a competition you have no experience in.
omg how did they not win?? this made me tear up. she's an AMAZING dancer, she did an amazing job on this show, and she has spread so much love to people across the world watching her be who she is.
There’s been so many people who have had dancing experience on the show but that shouldn’t invalidate their right to win. For me jojo was the real winner she made history on the show and every week she showed out. I’m so proud of her and Jenna. Honestly really shocked and devastated that she didn’t win. But also congrats to the winners.
I think we can all say this season of DWTS will be remembered forever because of Jojo. One can win anything in this world and be forgotten. Jojo is unforgettable because she already was a winner just because of who she is and by letting others know that they've already won by being themselves
I'm English so we don't have this on our tv however I have been watching all of the clips on RU-vid every week but I'm sorry....HOW DID JOJO AND JENNA NOT WIN?!?!?!?! Outrage. 🤬
As a 25 year old queen girl I just appreciate Jojo more than she will ever know. I'm so happy younger people have her to look up to. Just being herself. 🥰
This just made my neurodivergent gay heart explode with rainbows and glitter! I completely agree with Bruno, I would have been sooo happy if she had been around when I was younger. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much watching JoJo and Jenna dance. I am just so happy that JoJo said yes to DWTS and Jenna said yes to dancing with a girl and that I have had the privilege of watching this beautiful friendship blossom over the course of these last 10 weeks. JoJo has always been such an inspiration to kids and to be confident with who they are but it’s been wonderful watching her confidence in herself start to shine since she came out in Feb. But to really watch her confidence in herself just explode once she started working with and becoming friend with Jenna and just been on a whole other level. Ever week they both outdid their previous dances and ever week their connection just got stronger and stronger. JoJo has always been a star, but now, she has no limits. I am so excited to see what her incredibly bright future holds.
I for sure thought they would’ve won Iman shouldn’tve even been in the finals Suni should’ve been in the finals competing for the mirror ball against JoJo if JoJo and Jenna lost to Suni and Sasha I would’ve been okay with that but they lost to someone with consistently low scores this whole thing was rigged JoJo has an immense amount of followers way more than Iman does and yet Iman still won. Just so people know I’m not trying to hate on Iman it’s just that JoJo found a new self worth and a new self confidence and also grew even more as a dancer in a style she’s never done before she has matured in ways she didn’t know she could and she transitioned into woman hood on the show he’ll she even participated on the show while going through a breakup
@@Discretion234 when I said that she way more followers I meant that with amount of followers she has then she probably would’ve won if all of her followers had voted constantly
The fact they didn't win reminded me that DWTS is not a professional dance competition but more of a "most improved player" competition. Anyway, these two won in my heart and should be proud of what they achieved with this partnership.
Its a popularity competition and always has been. I think the same sex couple thing proved to be too much for the general audience, but I was really hoping JoJo's fans would come through. At least it wasn't Cody.
@@TheAlison941 I don't think so. I think having 2 gay dancers in the finale split those votes making it not enough for JoJo. I wonder had Cody gone home (when he should have) if it would have been different.
Also, if you really analyze previous contestants, a lot of the times the normal DWTS audience tends to not vote for a celebrity who already has dance experience
Of course its not a professional dance competition. That’s why they have pros. Pros are there to teach the stars who have little to no dance experience to become the best they can be.
@@jewelzm2646 If you go on to the DWTS facebook or twitter accounts, there's an alarming amount of comments from (usually) middle aged women screeching about JoJo pushing the "gay agenda" and how she's a disgrace to the show
I used to be THE biggest fan of dwts but stopped watching years ago. Buttt I always stumble upon certain dwts videos and when I saw one of Jojo’s, I was immediately hooked! I’m super bummed she didn’t win, but I’ve been so happy and grateful and excited that there’s finally a same sex couple on the show, and the impact she and Jenna have made is amazing! :’) she did so well!! And this dance is EVERYTHING!! My favorites always get second place (second placers tend to be the best technical dancers with not enough popular votes, by dwts’ playbook), so I’m not surprised, but I’m still so ecstatic to have watched the impact Jojo and Jenna have made and this beautiful dance they put together….. brb crying
That was brilliant. They are winners in my book. JoJo has grown because of Jenna. Their friendship is for life. I am so sad tonight. I loved watching them on my screen every week. I know they live close to each other so they will stay in touch forever.
CONGRATULATIONS! they may not have won the mirror ball but they HAVE WON THE WORLD!It was the BEST REPRESENTATION AND THE BEST PERFORMANCE, the whole 10 weeks was just a journey that I as a viewer will never forget. I hope to see more of these 2 dancing together. I hope Jojo includes Jenna in her concert tour and dance together...God Bless you both always!
What a song to end their season and make a damn statement. . M so sad they didn’t win . They won the hearts of people . I am so inspired I am going to cry . 😭❤️
I honestly think they were worried about letting jojo win because of her having dance experience at the end of the day the fact is she had such a huge fan base behind her and was nailing her dances every week in the end on paper her not winning doesn't make any sense to me.
I think a lot of people forget that the concept of DWTS is to transform the non dancer person into a dancer. Jojo have been dancing since she was young. Iman have zero dance background but yet he turn into a dancer. Jojo definitely made a history in DWTS to have the first same sex partner. She made history & become a grown woman. Kudos & credit to Jenna Johnson.
You may have a point but Jojo isn’t trained the same way that dancers like Jenna are. Jojo 100% had a huge transformation during the run of this show. I’d argue that while Jojo does have dance/performance experience, she had her own huge transformation and growth during the show that is just as valid as a non-dancer.
People complain that there shouldn’t be experienced dancers on the show, but if you havent noticed, the experienced dancers never win anyway. Its probably on purpose because of the people who complain. We will never forget NORMANI WAS ROBBED!!!
JoJo I'm so proud of you because you are a GREAT DANCER and a Wonderful Person!!!! You should have won that BALL!!! You gave it your all throughout and that is all anyone can ever do. My family and I will miss watching you dance every week. I did not know you before this show, but now I am a fan! You can do anything and I see a great future for you!!
This was so goooodddd! Honestly both Jojo and Jenna and Iman and Daniella deserved the win so I'm happy with the results. This has been the best season.
This was beautiful Jojo is my inspiration cause of her I’m happy coming out this dance was incredible these ladies are beautiful I’m happy for them!!😍❤️🌈
For me & many others. The true winners are Jojo & Jenna. DWTS they didn't win. But, for us they are the true winners. Amazing dancing throughout the DWTS season.
EARLIER this year, JoJo helped establish Lady Gaga's _'Born This Way'_ as an ANTHEM that CELEBRATES DIVERSITY... NOT just in terms of sexual-orientation, but also for all those who were born different from what many ERRONEOUSLY perceive and believe is the so-called _'normal'...!!!_ _KUDOS to her, and BRAVO!!!_ SUPPORT THE _'BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION'!!!_ *_R_* 😎
I feel like Julianne comment towards Iman and Daniella’s freestyle had a big influence on the outcome!!! And Bruno’s comment towards Jenna made me emotional. She killed it and I’m so proud of her!!
Jojo did amazing and she is a fantastic dancer but the whole point of the show is having a non dancer transform and that’s what Iman did - jojo definitely had a personal transformation but her dancing has always been phenomenal. She was a trained dancer. I know ballroom is different than what she’s trained in but it 100% still gave her a leg up
@@roseharvey878 Unfortunately, this is just what happens on DWTS. Out of 30 seasons there have only been 7 winners with any significant amount of dance experience and only two that are known as trained dancers who won (the others are just singers or actors with some dance experience like Donnie Osmand and Drew Lachey). And, out of those two trained dancers, only Jordan Fisher won his first season. The other, Melissa Rycroft, placed second in her 1st season but came back for all-stars (where everyone had some dance experience going in as they were all returning contestants) and won that. I don't know exactly why but viewers usually don't vote for the trained dancers to win despite the fact that there is almost always at least one in the finals. It's just like how Mackenzie Ziegler lost to a skateboarder (Sky Brown) on DWTS juniors though you would have expected Mackenzie to have a much larger fanbase and obviously she was the better dancer given that Sky had no dance experience and Mackenzie had been training longer than Sky had been alive (Sky was only 9 and Mackenzie was 14).
you know what, now that i think about it it’s probably because she had to tour after this and they usually like the winner to tour with DWTS after they win.
This performance gave me goosebumps. Also, at 3:05, love Jenna's choreography nod to her iconic SYTYCD performance with Mark Kanemura. With Mark being a dancer and collaborator with Lady Gaga and the impact Jenna and Gaga have had on JoJo, this is truly a full circle performance all around. ❤️
I know Jojo has dance experience, but the choreo for her is more complicated in my opinion than others, and she's stepped up to the challenge. Her dances are the ones that hook me in.
I don’t care what no says JoJo should’ve have win just like zendaya should’ve have won but this season was good I’m not gonna lie Iman the underdog had good dancing 💃 as well I’m proud of this season.
@@kadeemdavis6754 no hate honestly if his first dance was scored right and he still won then good for him yes it was good but not perfect score they were gonna have a first either way in the end once the score was tied it was the clash of the monster fan bases
@@kadeemdavis6754 also I'd like to touch on the dance being easier for jojo it really wasn't she had to learn both male and female parts and was judged on both 😅 she literally practice more hours than anyone else
What can I said …..???? Just “ Beautiful “ 😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏. Congratulations.Jenna thank you 🙏 your are wonderful…. Helping Jo Jo ….. “ Big Sister”
I really hope JoJo realises how much she means to the LGBT community. This year she has done so much for us and she means so much to so many. I have gained so much respect for her and I really hope that she can win tonight!!
Jojo Siwa performance was amazingly Outstanding and Should have been the Winner, Not Iman but of-course, most people voted for him because they are into sports.
It was !! JoJo is in the same friend group as Frankie :) JoJo and the ballingers are really close and the ballingers are close with the grandes so there's no doubt they met through eachother !
Spoiler alert: WHY DIDNT THEY WINNN?! The whole time waiting for the results I was pacing around the room so nervous. It actually felt like I was on stage. I wanted her to win so badly. Iman was good but come on he wasn’t THAT good. This dance was absolutely AMAZING! So memorable and fun and just omg I love it I love Jojo and I’m sad.
Zendaya got screwed by technical difficulties. Online voting was down on the night of the finale so the show could only count the votes by phone. But, out of the finalists, Zendaya was the one with the largest amount of fans that voted online so she was the one that was most affected by it. I remember it specifically because her season was the first time I ever voted in any reality competition and I was so frustrated that I couldn't get it to work that night.
@@miadavis4837 Did they say she had the most online votes? I can’t remember that exactly. How was that determined without proper measure of the online count? But yeah that does kind of suck. /: I thought Zendaya was good too, and she was definitely the producer favorite to win throughout the season, but I thought each dance Kellie delivered was beautiful, emotional, vastly underrated and deserving of more recognition. They were all full of story, elegant lines, and standout beautiful choreography. Derek did a phenomenal job highlighting Kellie’s strengths in each one of their dances together, and their freestyle remains one of the best, most beautiful freestyles of all time IMO. I used to be realllyy obsessed with the show at the time (made tributes, fandom Twitter, everything), and I started to learn a thing or two about dance, and recognized Kellie’s talent from the beginning and was so ecstatic to see her win because she didn’t seem to be highlighted as much despite their high scores and amazing dances. I personally think Kellie’s storytelling and emotional talent from singing, cheerleading flexibility, and personal experience really benefitted her on the dance floor… especially with Derek’s insane choreography, of course. :) It is a shame for Zendaya though; I’ve noticed trends in DWTS and most often even the most talented Disney or child stars (Chelsea Kane for example, who was one of my absolute favorites, got second place) end up getting second place. I don’t know if a Disney star has ever won, even if they’ve completely deserved to (as I said, I haven’t watched since Riker Lynch - who once again, a child audience star, IMO got robbed). Same goes for Jojo Siwa this past season. But it for sure doesn’t mean any less of them! :)
@@sadbeautifultragic013 Both Zendaya and Val said afterwards that most of Zendaya's fans voted online and that they had been promoting the online link on twitter because of that. They didn't realize until really late that the online voting wasn't working. I remember Val being really unhappy about it (and probably Maks too since he's Val's older brother but I don't remember what he said/if he said anything exactly).
@@miadavis4837 I’m sure hardcore fans would have voted through phone and through online. I always did, like crazy amounts lol. But I guess we’ll never know. Either way, Zendaya and Kellie were both great dancers and made a very deserving top two.
I still don’t get the point of having someone who’s been a competitive dancer their entire life compete against a bunch of amateurs with little to no experience lol It’s like having an Olympic athlete compete against a bunch of average people in a fitness test and then acting shocked that the Olympic athlete blew them all away
Three of the four finalists were experienced dancers, not only Jojo: Jojo, Amanda and Cody. Iman was the only one with no dancing experience, but as a famous NBA basketball player, his fans voted for him so he could win.
They did a great job, but what breaks my heart here is the comments. People are making this out be like JoJo is the first person to ever bring the LQBTQ+ community to the forefront and that is so not true by any means. She is helping in a positive way, but she isn't stepping out of any zone that many others before her have not done. Please, show some love and support to all of those who came before her who worked so hard to have the LGBTQ+ Community become a respected and welcoming addition to the normal of life.
