All of Jojo Siwa’s performances while on Dancing with the Stars. At the finale, Jojo and her partner Jenna Johnson were runner ups and placed 2nd place. I do not own anything.
JoJo, THIS is how you appeal to an adult audience! Not flaunting exes, not "trolling", not bragging and showing off your ego. This talent and mature stage presence is what garners real respect.
true!! she’s genuinely talented and i feel like she’s wasting it on an ‘image’ most people don’t want to see. like if that’s who she wants to be good for her, but if it’s to appeal too an older audience. like girl just show us what you can do
I want to support JoJo and she does want an "adult" career, so It's hard to say she's not right for her current process. Teen to young adult is hard, but ALL go thru that stage. Harder for a celeb with so many judgements. You were fair, I just know she is trying to grow and do it well. Hard to dance like this unless you have a partner. Wish she and Jenna would go on DWTS again, so so enjoyable ! The recent song was an "answer" to some haters, and apologizing about some younger behavior. I guess she felt the need, she does care about fair play. She'll continue and I hope the few haters don't drown out her process and growth. IMO✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Not super surprising considering she's danced and performed most of her life. I came here trying to figure out who she was since I never watched dance moms
she has always been a really good dancer considering the fact that she was on dance moms too, and during DWTS she always had the highest scores everyone assumed she was gonna win it. Dancing wise she's good, it's just sad that she's problematic.
@@keme__e Jojo might be friends with some people who might be more or less "problematic", but she herself is not really problematic at all, quite the opposite: she is nice to everyone and loyal to all her longtime friends - which might be the only problem, at least to some people...
I so miss this JoJo. In this it actually looked like she was having fun and not just dressed up like a doll and thrown Infront of some cameras by her management team. I feel really sad for her and just wish she would stop trying so hard to be something she isn't and that the people around her would stop enforcing her to act in ways that don't represent who she truly is or has the potential to be...
this, honestly her whole "adult" rebranding isn't giving anything but during her time on DWTS is where she actually looked the most mature, not to mention the amazing performances too. I wish she kept up with her image here instead of changing it to a ridiculous one.
Right, I feel like she is being someone that she isn't. Now maybe she doesn't want to sing about candy stores or space ships but I don't think the song Karma did her justice. I think her dancing with the stars days is exactly who she is and who she should be! #RealTalk #StayTrueToYourself 💃✨
@@RollerCoasterFan Teen to young adult is something we all go thru. JoJo always wanted to be a pop star, and felt the need to mature. She was criticized (wrongly I think) for staying with the Bow era, now she's maturing and gets judgements from a lot. With some legit concerns, like yours. And haters were so cruel, petty and mean on her Karma page. Just heartless. And some were so misinformed! *Example, some thought she stole Karma song from Taylor but it's Not TS song, its another. THAT's the kind of misinformed that is RAMPANT with some of her critics and haters especially, most of which are juveniles, and not checking before they do. 🙄🙄 I get frustrated by that, which is MY issue, I just don't like a good person being hated on. YOUR not, but speaking of those who do.
Even though she didn't win, I remember reading the reason she went for DWTS was to separate herself from her childish image and do something that would show her in a more adult light. So in a way, she did win, she was able to present herself in a much more mature light away from tight, high ponytails and bows 😊
Geez, I hope Jojo Siwa is still dancing these styles. What strength, beauty, style, and love in her performances. The Pennywise/Georgie performance was so creepy but cool .
@@thekaren1111 Jess was doing as JoJo asked, to eventually be a performer. Parents can encourage, take kids to other outside activities and be there for them. JoJo wanted dance but also softball. LOL. She enjoyed both, still does. In the show, Jess asked her IF she still wanted to do things and did remove her from some dance activities because Jojo needed that. Eventually Jess and JoJo left DM and that was a positive step decided by Jess. They were in the show about 2+ years only.
Wow! It's so heartwarming and beautiful to see these two women dancing together. It's of course lovely that they can be intimate and romantic and share a spark between them, but it is also just great in general to see two ladies having fun together, being a team, lifting each other up (both literally and figuratively!), and just enjoying being artistic and athletic together. I love all of the different emotions both of these talented dancers evoked. They had all the range, chemistry, and dynamic moves of an opposite-gender pairing, so there's no reason why DWTS shouldn't have more same-gender pairings. I really hope they'll make it more of a regular thing. I give Siwa and her partner credit because this is the kind of representation that gay women need; they need a platform to show all the different sides of themselves and their relationships. These two were fun, sensual, playful, sweet, romantic, and so much more. Amazing work, ladies!
I miss the old Jo Jo! I'm 35, don't have kids, and actually liked her music. 🎶🎵 I thought it was good and if I had kids, I would have had them listen to it. But now that she's trying to have a Miley Cyrus moment, I'm like, "That's not who you are!" 🙅♀️ You're more than that! This is the real you! 😍 I like this version, and I think the world does too. We can all agree that her new look and style are not her. #RealJoJo #WeLoveYou #OldSchoolJoJo
This is how I know she KNOWS what’s she’s doing with Karma. She is aware of how dramatic the dance for Karma looks-it’s on purpose. the drama with writing the song aside, it was effective marketing
Yes. For years people judged her either being childish and now going too far, or not. She gradually did stuff to mature, some didn't notice, and she advised about new genre to advise kids and parents. Thoughtful. Public figures get so much outside judgement, good and bad. Her "bad" persona now is so much less than a lot of performers today, But that is her level, since she is a good, thoughtful person inside, still. We know soc media can be a cesspool and some of the "controversy" was Not made by JoJo. Misinformation, misguided theories, etc and most of the judgement was caused by that and the young demographic making the hate comments. fr. Teen to young adult is a hard phase to go thru and I think she's fine. She did explain in more length that she didn't write Karma (never said she did), it's in a pod cast. But her haters don't care or listen. ☹☹Sorry to rant, I just don't like that ANYONE is judged harshly or wrong. Some of the comments were so hateful, cruel and petty. And not true. I'm older and the length some go to hate on soc media is a shock and so uncalled for. Thanks for listening. ✌🏼✌🏼
@@RollerCoasterFan She quit Most dancing at 13, did acting on Nickelodeon, etc. In the past, several contestants had dance experience, like Charli Amelio etc. Like Jenna said, ballroom is SO different and even has a different "count" system to learn the dances. I cannot dance,😏😏 but I kind of understand. Like a Basketball player learning hockey. I do think she had some advantage, but others had some, too. It's addressed in some of the interviews. But I respect your point. 😊😊 Dancers are athletes, too and her physical condition helped.
Does anyone else feel like the show is pretty low budget now compared to this season?? From the props to licensing actual songs, the quality of JoJos season was amazing!
Even Mandy Moore, Miley Cyrus, Carmen Electra, Brenda Song, and Debby Ryan must join DWTS for the Mirror Ball trophy. Alan Dedicoat: Dancing Freestyle, with her partner Mark Ballas, it's Carmen Electra.
but she could already dance ? so she was always gona be good - i always thought the point was taking novice/beginners/people that hadnt danced in a long time and train them?
It’s a reality show, it’s called dancing with the STARS not dancing with the beginners. If eliminations were entirely up to judges scores then yes it would be unfair but audience votes are a huge part of this show so it doesn’t /really/ matter. Plus, she didn’t win this season, Iman Shumpert (who actually was a beginner) won, so it’s neither here nor there anyways.
I’m seriously confused. Why is there a professional dancer in a dancing competition? Doesn’t that defeat the whole point? I feel like that’s kinda cheating.
@@partypoison8476 Yes, but the celebrities don’t usually dance professionally. Sometimes, like Mario Lopez, they may have a bit of a dancing background, but they don’t do it every day for work. The first few years of the show, it was more about being amazed and impressed with how much a celeb improved every week. They were mostly actors (from all genres) and people who were otherwise famous for something other than dance. It’s not really a “competition” when other people are having to learn to dance, and you have Jo Jo here who already knows how to dance (extremely well). All she has to do is learn the choreography. We might as well fill the show with Brittany Spears, J Lo, Lady Ga Ga, Usher, and Nick Cannon. It’s not a competition when you’ve been dancing your entire life, especially when everyone else is just learning how to stay straight, keep their head up, and be graceful. Unless it’s not actually a competition now, and is just celebrities showing off. It’s like putting a gold medal Olympic medalist in a competition with good swimmers from high school. The medal winner is gonna be the absolute best 9 times out of 10. As I said, I haven’t watched the show in many years, so maybe they are just pitting already amazing dancers against each other. But it’s not really a competition then, it’s just a show that happens to have judges there to very seriously critique the dances in and of themselves, not really against other dancers. We used to see the real struggles of celebs not being able to do a lift with a 90 lbs dancer, the pros getting their feet stepped on because the celeb has no idea after 8 tries where they are supposed to go, laughing together because a move they tried 10 times STILL looks absolutely ridiculous because the celeb has no natural grace, celebs shedding pounds and gaining muscle because they are in a rigorous routine and a special diet, or hilariously falling to the floor after rehearsal because every muscle hurts and they’re EXHAUSTED. Maybe they were considered “celebs” but they ate and had physical activity at the same level the rest of us do, so their struggles and victories were so much more relatable.
Well i think the coregraphy was too stereotypical and thats why they couldn't show their full range, if you are breaking old traditions then you need to be more creative
yeah same. they are both gorgeous dancers but ballroom is all about the feminine and masculine. while a female can play a more masculine role it’s just not the same. you need both of those things. i’ve danced with gay men before never have they complained or expressed in doing a routine with another guy before even though they have been given the option.
i think they looked great together, girls do duets together all the time. i’m gay and i’d do a dance with a guy, sure, but i definitely think it’s cool that the dance industry is changing up a little.
