People, you HAVE to vote! Never, ever, ever assume that a star on the show is safe just because she's doing well or got perfect or near perfect scores. Many people think this and end up not voting so they vote for someone else or not at all. People don't vote for Jojo and votes for other couples all add up and Jojo ends up with the lowest number of votes (combined with the judges scores and judges scores alone do not save a couple). This is how great dancers like Jojo get eliminated (Sabrina Bryan, Normani, Brandy, Heather Morris and Juan Pablo di Pace, remember them?). We're lucky we had the judges save her. If we didn't, she most likely would've gone home last night. Don't assume even if she's in the bottom two she's safe if she's in the bottom two with another great dancer like Amanda, Suni, Olivia or Melora. We vote to keep them OUT of the bottom two! VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!! Jojo and Jenna need to remind fans often to vote on their social media accounts. To vote for Jojo and Jenna, there are two ways to do this and it's extremely easy! You can vote for them on all devices (computers, laptops, phones, ipads etc...) and you can create many, many accounts by signing up at abc.com. Be sure you do so before Monday night because you have to verify each email address and you want to take the time to be ready and vote during showtime. If the website state you are too young to vote, just put in 2003 (what are they gonna do? Ask for your birth certificate? Trust me, they won't! Lol) or before as your birth year when you sign up. Two ways to vote for Jojo and Jenna: 1. Text "JOJO" to 21523. 2. Go to dwtsvote.abc.com and vote for Jojo. Vote for them during live show at 8pm eastern/7pm central times. Pacific and mountain times will have to vote before the show starts in their areas if you want them to stay. Voting closes when the final couple finishes dancing so be sure to vote live during the show or during the 8pm eastern/7pm central/6 mountain/5pm pacific times. For example..... if you live in California, you have to vote at 5pm (not 8pm) your time. Go to dwtsvote.abc.com/#faq if you still have questions or do not understand something and please ask everyone else you know in person and on social media to vote for Jojo and Jenna!

Unfortunately, with the way the judges & public's scores are counted and applied... the fewer the dancers, the more likely it becomes that this will happen again. *_R_* 😎

How the heck were they in the bottom? They have amazing scores?

Having been thoroughly shocked by this result, I researched the methodology of how the judges & public's scores are processed and allocated, and I have to say I not only am no longer surprised that JoJo-JJ ended up in the bottom 2, but also that I can perceive it happening again! *_R_* 😎

Why, can you explain?

@@sulagreen5792 I will certainly try my best for you. Before I get into it though, have you been following the _'Average Score Chart'_ (link 2.1 on the Contents panel) in Wikipedia? I have, and JoJo-JJ have consistently been the clear leaders on it since week 1! BUT... it only reflects the Judges scores. If it included the public/viewers' votes, it would no doubt _'paint'_ a different _'picture'..._ IYKWIM(?). Insofar as how the scores are processed and allocated is concerned... these are converted into percentages of the total scores awarded on a night by the judges, and also but separately, by the public/viewers. So if we start with the judges... This week (Queen Night) the judges awarded the 9 dancers a total of 315 points for the first round. Of these, JoJo-JJ got 39 so if we convert this to a percentage (39 x 100/315) they got 12.38% share of the vote, and this is how all but 1 of the previous weeks' judges' votes were allocated. This week however, there were 12 bonus points awarded, and if we factor these in, then (39 x 100/327) means that JoJo/JJ share went down to 11.93%. Bearing in mind that the voting public/viewers cannot give bonus points, their votes are processed and allocated in exactly the same way as the points awarded by the judges, and the resultant judges and voters percentages for each Star are then added together to obtain the dancers' respective placings for that week. Now THIS is where it gets complicated(!)... Given that the judges between them can only award a maximum 40 points/dancer, as each week progresses and dancers are eliminated, the number of total points diminishes which means that the potential percentages for the remaining dancers' increases. All well and good. But the occasional judge's absence notwithstanding, the number of judges remains fixed... this year at 4. And week 3 when Derek was absent (if I am not mistaken) the 3 judges' scores were adjusted as though Derek had been present... so if a dancer got 24 votes, this was adjusted to 32. In any event, while the number of judges remains constant, the voting viewers does not. Moreover, the judges have to judge and award points based on such elements as: choreography (creativity) and technique (execution & performance). Viewers however, vote for their favourite Star! So if one is eliminated, they either do not bother voting, OR they vote _'tactically',_ by which I mean... if they do not want a particular Star to win, they will vote for one (any) of the others! This I think is one factor why JoJo-JJ found themselves in the bottom 2 this week. The other factor is... during Week 1, the judges scoring has the greater impact on the Stars placings. But as the number of Stars is reduced, with the way the scores and votes are processed and allocated, means that the public/viewers' votes play a much larger role in determining the week's placings. Please let me know if you made it this far... and also if you need me to clarify anything. *_R_* 😎

@@robingarvin-mack I worry that the Public's votes can be biased by celeb popularity, and dislikes the public had of celebs, any prejudiced the public may have and other voting issues. I mean if much of the public are young people, then their reasons for loving or hating on a celeb is a voting factor. This season the fact that Jenna/JoJo are a same sex couple for the show could be controversial and make for more votes against them. I shouldn't be that factor, it should be based on DANCING, but celebrity popularity had played into the voting on many seasonal wins.

@@robingarvin-mackrandom but jus read this & had always wondered how it was converted and wondering so how much does a judges vote count vs the public votes I was making it way too complicated in my head; thinking like do they have a metric like 100K votes is 1 judge point or something crazy but this was a great explanation!! Makes total sense.
