Yooo my man Jody. I love this reaction alot. There was non of that unnecessary yelling. And XFile really brought his professionalism to this video. I got to give the man his props. You guys really broke down this video from the ground up. No one was yelling at the other person... You guys really did a good job. You Jody also did a good job at directing the conversation. It looks amazing, idc! Gaga and Phoenix are gonna kill it. Cinematography ate downnn, score is from composer of the first movie which she won the Oscar for. It’s not musical focused, it has elements of it. All in their mind. It’s no straight up Cabaret, Chicago, West Side Story, or Hamilton.

I wanna see it. I'm down for something different. EMan needs to relax. If anyone should've liked the 1st Joker, you'd think it's him.😂 But hey, whatever. Music,NO music. Doesn't stop The Joker from being who he is. He always wanted to be an entertainer ,so to me , music makes sense. It could sink, BUT it could swim,I don't know. I'm giving it a chance. Brave direction, but I think it'll be good .

People complaining about the musical thinks Joker is beyond that. Meanwhile Joker and Harley did shit like that all the time when they got together. Joker especially phoenix’s Joker is delusional and is a psycho and there is no better way to represent. The music will probably serve as a backdrop to what’s actually going on. It’s obviously going to be dark as well

Even though I'm not a fan of musicals and feel we didn't need a sequel, I'll give this film a chance. Very interested to see story wise what direction they go with this film. Phoenix and Lady Gaga might have some great chemistry as well. Day 1 watch for me and this was a B+ Tralier.

To be fair, they said that it will have a musical element to it. They did not say that it will be like The Sound Of Music or Lalaland lol the music scenes can be their delusions. There's also a leaked video of Gaga singing dark versions of classic songs which is dope. Also, it is a different version or universe of Harley

Can't help but notice who really understand the essence of the Joker character and who don't. Those who don't see the music in the joker but only focus on the action are more of the casual fans. If you understand the essence of the Joker you know he ALWAYS had a musical element to him. This and the first movie ar staying true to the character. "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight". That's the line from back in the day with Jack Nicholson as the Joker. What was he doing with girl not long before that line? He was dancing with the girl while his goons watched. There's a bunch more that stem from the comics, movies, cartoons, etc. The only difference now is that since this movie is diving more into the character's physche we get to hear the music playing in his mind.

Arthur Fleck (joker) was adopted. His real parents were unknown. His mother adopted him, then she got a boyfriend and they abused him from the time that he was a baby. Hence the Joker killing his mother. It never was said that the mother stole him. Also, not to be rude but when you don't like something then why watch it? Eman can have his opinion and everyone should respect that. But at the same time don't watch something if it's not your cup of tea. You're going to feel like an outsider trying to fit in, that's no fun for yourself or for the viewer.

I think the first Joker kinda had a musical element as well. There was a lot of music playing over scenes. And the scene when he literally starts dancing in the bathroom and on the stairs. So I'm kinda expecting this movie to do the same, just a little more 🤷🏽‍♀️

@JodysCorner exactly, A Star is Born wasn't a musical. So many ppl are using the terminology without knowing the meaning. I suggest ppl look up the definition. The Joker had a lot of musical components and it wasn't considered a musical either. Plus, the ppl complaining about music being interwoven with the joker are casual fans. Music has always been a HUGE part of the joker. Cartoons, comics, movies, etc. Back to when Nicholson was the joker "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? " he starts dancing with the girl he captured while his goons are watching confused. There are a lot more examples but the list is too long ( Heath Ledger's had it too). The difference is we aren't seeing just a glimpse of it. The director is taking us into his mind so we can experience how he sees everything in real time. Don't believe the supposed "Joker fans" complaining about this. They are casual fans who just want to see the action parts for entertainment. They don't really care about the character in depth.

To me, this looks fire, and I'm happily and absolutely going in with an open mind! I was already open-minded when we heard about the rumours that it was going to be a musical anyway. And just when I was about to say we need to see more of X-Files, his channel was shouted out 👍🏾 However, the question of this film making a billion dollars, or even beating the first film? Is it possible? This being a musical could be opening some serious doors to some extra revenue. Plus, it's a sequel, so you basically have a large chunk of the original audience/ fans + word of mouth (if it's good) from BOTH audiences. I think it's possible to reach a billion 🤔
