Yusually the fandom agrees with Yu being Yu Narukami, but Makoto and Ren are the biggest rifts I like all of their names, Minato makes him less likely to be confused with the other Makoto. And Akira is okay too, but Ryuji calming him RenRen is adorable

Whyohwhy it’s just saying that everyone supports akechi but no one really knows about joker, so if akechi were to go missing everyone would care. at least that’s what i think.
@@renn8588 everyone other than Joker did not notice the poster in that scene and Joker just stayed there looking at the poster knowing very well that Akechi died sacrificing himself for them.
The fact that Joker says "It's my Phantom Troupe" is kinda hilarious to me since Akechi's VA is also the VA of a character from the 2011 reboot of the 90's anime Hunter x Hunter named Chrollo who leads a group called the Phantom Troupe.

It hurts my heart everytime you can see how hurt Ren is when he thinks about Akechi dying. It took me a moment before I realized he was looking at Akechi's missing poster. They really do make an interesting dynamic duo.

The beautiful thing about Crow and Joker: They're rivals, perfect rivals to each other. They're best friends for sure, but, they also don't wish to lose to the other. Does that mean they hate each other? Not at all! They lift each other up when the other needs it, they laugh together, cry together, and even fight together, but, at the same time, they see each other as the person the other must become better than, the thing that they strive to rise above, they are friends who compete, but from a place of genuine friendship and love from each other (and no, i don't mean love as in "In love" but as in "they're friends who care greatly for each other") They don't share the same relationship as Chad and (Spoiler) Adachi: One cares, the other couldn't care less, it's like Bakugo and Midorya, or Goku and Vegeta: They're friends, they care about the other's well being, but, they also refuse to let the other win, and thus, they both become stronger as a result. I'm sure Goro would never admit it, but he care immensely for Ren, to the point when weird Third Semester stuff happens, the first person he goes to for help is Ren, he fights with him, the two of them share the same goal, and (Again, SPOILER) he even is willing to die for him. He dies a warrior's death, willing to sacrifice his own life if it means keeping the world (and his best buddy) safe, and that is awesome in my book. Ren and Akechi can be described in best as: Rivals Who The Other Couldn't Live Without.....

... You know, I wasn't expecting to relive my sadness of the door closing down, blocking Akechi from the Phantom Thieves as he went to fight himself. And then his signal disappearing. Yet one of the last scenes was the door closing and the hand of Joker shaking. So... Thanks. ... Hail Sithis.

just wanted to let you know that i'm genuinely a bit obsessed with this. i've watched it at least once a day for about a week now, and i've practically memorized some of the greatest moments. i've always loved city of angels and this song in particular, so robbie and xander's cover by itself was a dream come true. but oh my word, you took what was already such a phenomenal gift to persona, akechi, and shuake fans, and made it so, so much better. do you have a tumblr? i never access twitter, but i want to follow you forever, because the way you capture these two and their mannerisms is just infuriatingly fantastic, simply phenomenal. the way they subtly flirt and subtly threaten violence each other! the little mouse phantom troupe! the wanted poster and joker's reaction to it that broke my fucking heart! the ENTIRE SEQUENCE THROUGH "a puppet! an upstart! / a loser who's destined to fall!" as joker reaches for an akechi who's walking away and letting the wall fall between them, destining himself to fall. fuck. it hurts so good and is so good and the way they spend the rest of the animatic on two sides of that wall, but then that moment when the wall disappears and they're leaning on each other instead? you've killed me. so, yeah, i'd die for more shuake art like this. but not to be ungrateful--thank you for what you've given already.
