@Tyler Davis yea i could see why people wouldn’t like it in spanish but since i speak both. I would have preferred him speaking spanish so he can be as detailed as he wants to be.
Most SSBU character guides: This move does x%, this combo works from x%, this move will kill from exactly x% Mkleo Joker guide: I don't care... you can just spam back air
Yeo what’s good bro. I see that you’re a joker main. Can we practice together one day, cause i really wanna get good with joker. I just started playing him
I've never actually learned joker, I just figured him out. I usually just watch 1 or 2 guide videos and hop online when I want to play someone. I'll shoot down to 4/5 million and learn the character from there. This guide definitely helped, I know generally what to use when, I've gotten into elite smash and I've consistently stayed on it's border for a few months now but I think that keeping this guide in mind will help me a lot, I don't like to learn combos or values because memorizing that stuff feels inefficient. I like to learn based on intuition, it's gotten me this far and It doesn't show signs of wearing out, practice makes perfect and this strategy doesn't show signs of stopping soon. This makes sense to me, it's intuitive, and is based on skill along with understanding of a character, not skill and how many combos you know.
very informative, wished we had a bit more demonstrative vids with it but honestly it was great! I've always wondered why i don't progress with my joker, and one of the big reason was my lack of camping. Plus i learned so much stuff with your advices too!
Not related to the guide, but I've been studying linguistics and I could never tell the difference between unaspirated and aspirated consonants until I paid attention to how Leo speaks. I noticed that at some point near the beginning, he said "power" it sounded like a weird sound in between p and b, and realised that's what an unaspirated p sounded like. In addition, I realised Spanish doesn't have aspirated stop consonants from what I've heard. Also also, I've been really stupid because my second native language, Tagalog, doesn't really have aspiration on consonants either
Nesecito enserio necesito esta guía en españooool porque no se ingles chalee Porfa leo dijiste que tenias en mente abrir un canal donde hablarías solo español bueno que tu primer video sea esta guía doblada al español porfavooooor
Mr.Leo can you please do a Byleth guide next? You see I want to gather a lot info as I can to become better with f.Byleth while I train to learn her combos in the same fashion as learning to tether cancel with her and doing gimmicks and mixups. Seeing your godlike Byleth interest and satisfy me and makes me want go crazy with her too. Keep up the the fantastic guides! ✊😁❤
Ok this is epic, not the biggest fan of Joker but Mkleo is still hype. The character that I would like to see is Meta Knight, he's my main and I consider him a very strong character, MK b meta and have a great day
It's really super interesting, we will be able to have premium quality joker guides, I myself am learning the character and covet the world ranking, but since I do not speak English. titles soon pls ?
add a visual that complements exactly what you’re talking about. it will make it easier to follow what you’re talking about. (different methods to receive information: visual & audio)
With short hop->delayed upair->fast fall makes landing on platform a really scary thing. Imagine u just jump on a platform and suddenly u can put away your controller for at least 10 seconds 😂😂😂😂
For most guides, Training mode combos would be a slight against them, but I've seen some of those pulled off so many times in majors that it's actually a point in favor of this one lol
I previously learned and based my Joker on how you played in your videos and from whenever you showed up in tournament clips, now I have a definitive guide, and I’m happy about that.
I agree. I don't speak Spanish but I remember watching a First to Ten between Leo and Spargo and it was all in Spanish. I couldn't understand without the subs, but Leo definitely sounded more comfortable during that set imo
Joker has always been a pick up drop off character for me. One things for sure, he is considered my "Soul main" while I don't really win with Joker, I have fun with him The one thing I understand from experience is that even if you have Arsene, the main thing you need to pay attention to is what the opponent does when you get Arsene. If they camp or run away, force them to choose an option and then punish them. If they are going to the ledge, you'll want to find a way to force them either off the plat or on the ledge The other thing is to keep the same game plan with Arsene, but your capable to get kill confirms (dair spike up smash, dragdown up air up smash on plat, fair 1 dragdown up air, up smash/down smash if they are heavy or heck Arsene Gun into up/down smash. There's one thing that Joker mains need to understand: DONT RELY ON ARSENE ALL THE TIME! this is something that even I have trouble with. Even though Arsene allows for kill confirms to be guaranteed if your really good at neutral and advantage, the one thing that a Joker player needs to master is doing combos and kill confirms with both Arsene and not with Arsene. Down throw fair, nair down tilt up air, dair down tilt up air, up throw up air, up throw fair etc. Are really good at racking up damage. But the one combo id highly recommend practicing is plat locking with up air, gun locking and up air canceling so you can ledge trap efficiently
To add cause I just thought of this: With Joker you need to play 2nd. This means you let the opponent move first then you can react. For example, if a character like Mario goes in for a jab and you spot dodge or move out of the way, you can use Gun to force an option similar to Fox in Melee.
