Yeah and it's so ironic that Joker died in City and left this for Batman but in real life Hamill is still here but wihtout Kevin... Rest in Peace, Legend...
UnderSwap Sans No. I have found this out through life experience. It happened with an older gentleman I worked with who he and I always came close to blows with and had strong disagreements. But when the time came and I had surgery, he was the only one who gave me help at work (Which was dangerous) and stepped in and did the dangerous jobs I did so as I would not hurt myself.
imagine batman, tired to the bone, mourning the death of his greatest enemy sitting down in his chair in the bat cave, and listening to this from his voice messages..
@@HOTD108_ true, but if it happened in any version of the character, it would kinda make sense, cause as joker said “without Batman crime has no punchline” I would say the same for Batman with the joker
Best game endings: -Arkham City -Red Dead Redemption -Assassin's Creed 4 -Life is Strange -The Walking Dead Season 1 -Kingdom Hearts: 258/2 Days -Halo 4 -Metal Gear Solid 5 -The Last of Us
***** after the new trailer the chances have higly decreased =/ but that would make me happy, especially if batman die from his hands! Only him deserve to kill the bat.
mike nike Thank you.Just got the game and so far I haven't gotten into major spoilers except for a Fight that happens, but it's not that big. Thanks for not being that kind of person.
Nothing sadder that to know the most inhumane villain causes the most delicate melancolic heartwarming of human emotions in your heart, which ,thanks to him, will never be cold again...
the greatest send off to the greatest version of the joker. It really captures the romantic aspect of their relationship. Thank you mark Hamill only you could make this work this way.
People now with the new suicide squad think the joker loves Harley, when the Joker loves nobody except maybe Batman, cause he gives him a reason to exist. :/
Well, the creators have stated that they do love one another. It's just that Joker doesn't know how to properly show this love. He's crazy, so his mind doesn't function like yours or mine. So what we see as sane people, doesn't look like love at all.
They are making another prequel though and the batmobile will not have the weapon system anymore it will just drive and the map will have a beachy coastal feel to it
being in love with the joker this game made me cry for hours. I saw it coning but it hurt so much. and during the credits when I heard "you have one new message" I popped my head up and heard him singing and I broke down.
This wasn't the death of just the Joker. It was the death of Mark Hamill's Joker, the Joker that most of us grew up with. Which makes it even sadder since it's the death of a figure of our childhood. I'm tearing up again.
jadensvideos This is not my theory is by Batman Arkham Videos but there are Cadmus posters all around the dlc so i believe its something similar to what happened in Batman Beyond ROTJ
Barry Burton batman mythos tells us jokers body was continually moved to avoid people destroying the body and preventing a 50 million dollar reward Harley put on it
From my point of view it's "R.I.P Joker 1970 - 2011" (Because that was when the Bronze Age of comics began and the Insane Joker fixed on Batman was born) :(
I would have loved to see Batman's face when he recieved this and listened to it. Probably priceless.Though considering he only heard this message after Joker died i think he was rather moved :'(
Same.... I love the Arkham series.Been playing this game like I was 6 or 8 don’t remember but I don’t want it to end. I just love Batman games and the series
Batman and Joker have such a twisted relationship. You wouldn’t think comic book characters would have such depth and a connection. Honestly understanding the chemistry and bond of the two is like studying a subject.
This hits so differently now...today the fan cries but not for the passing of just one man but for the legacy he left behind. For it was that legend who introduced me and made me the batman fan today. How I agonised to find the perfect way to thank him. But those dreams were dashed. Rest well dear sir. Thank you Kevin you will always be vengeance the night and finally always batman
In my life, I never cried for any movie, TV-show or video game, no matter how sad some scenes could be. But the death of the Joker in Arkham City felt like a sword stabbing my heart. It felt like all the happiness in the world died. Rest in Peace Mr. J. May you laugh in the afterlife, like you did in this cruel one!!!
Well, Batman did give the Joker one good reason to laugh right before kicking the bucket, his words were quite clear: Batman- you wanna know something funny, even after everything you did, I would've saved you Joker- haha haha haha, that actually is *coughs* pretty funny *Joker dies*
One of the many reasons Batman is the only "super hero" I still love as a 17 yr old is how most of the villains show realistic psychological problems, Joker especially. Batmans villains represent real life horrors. Banes disgusting childhood represents how cruel certain countries can be putting him in prison as a baby. Scarecrow shows he needs to make others suffer in fear so he can feel better about his own, Killer Croc, although a fictional character himself, represents perfectly how people can be cruel to those that look or are different. And Joker, well who wouldn't become a monster like him after what happened in his Killing Joke origin, although he deserves to die at this stage, I think Joker has a very acurate opinion of humanity, after what happened to his pregnant wife, Joker feels the world is a horrific joke, and if violence, cruelty and destruction is hilarious to the world, well then there's only one way he can finally be a great comedian now isn't there?
Heath Ledger's and Joaquin Phoenix's Jokers both represent the cruel and unjust society. Heath Ledger's Joker represent that the society can be fall into anarchy and chaos, and that rules and laws can be broken, while Joaquin Phoenix's Joker represent that the society would be cruel to the person and would break them down further and further until they couldn't take it anymore and become the monsters we tried not to be.
How Mark Hamil Should be Buried In a Purple Tuxedo, Holding a Lightsaber and a Joker Card How Kevin Conroy Should be Buried Pitch Black Suit, like all black. Tie and Shirt. With a Batarang in his hand and a bat symbol on his casket. Just my opinion.... I am gonna be so sad... This is not only Goodbye to Joker, But Marks Wonderful, Hilarious raspy and grouchy voice.
“Remembering’s dangerous. I find the past such a worrying, anxious place. “The Past Tense,” I suppose you’d call it. Memory’s so treacherous. One moment you’re lost in a carnival of delights, with poignant childhood aromas, the flashing neon of puberty, all that sentimental candy-floss… the next, it leads you somewhere you don’t want to go. Somewhere dark and cold, filled with the damp ambiguous shapes of things you’d hoped were forgotten. Memories can be vile, repulsive little brutes. Like children I suppose. But can we live without them? Memories are what our reason is based upon. If we can’t face them, we deny reason itself! Although, why not? We aren’t contractually tied down to rationality! There is no sanity clause! So when you find yourself locked onto an unpleasant train of thought, heading for the places in your past where the screaming is unbearable, remember there’s always madness. Madness is the emergency exit… you can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened. You can lock them away… forever.”
I can tell it truly made joker die inside, but feel so full of happiness when batman told him. "Even after everything you've done, I still would have saved you." he was glad to hear him say it, but all he could do was laugh because he was so genuinely happy to hear him say those words. "I still would have saved you." that he knew his only true partner and his greatest enemy was the only person who actually cared, who actually wanted to help him. why else would batman have stayed so long he thought. Why else? because he wanted you to live, he made a code to never kill anyone because he had hope in you, he had hope in changing these people for the better. and without you, he wouldn't have tried so hard. When I hear the words "My one and only you." I can hear the voice actor actually realize mentally how much joker depends on batman for happiness. He realizes how painful it was for the joker to sing the song and how genuinely happy he was to sing it, like a little boy when he has his first crush it's when you realize what you love the most. But when you think you're not good enough, but you still try so very hard to get their attention and still fail. The frustration, and rage he feels each time only breaks his heart more and more as he cries inside with his thoughts that he pushes away to seem "Happy" to seem like everything is so funny and that he doesn't regret hurting people. I think it's just that he lies to himself so much and the fact he's so good at it scares him as well as how he hides the fact he's so scared of commitment and batman in general that he can't put trust in anyone else, but batman. and the reason for this is because he can't think of anyone who he's comfortable with being killed by even if he's horrified by him. He put so much trust in a man he doesn't even know the identity of because he wanted him to help him, he wanted to feel happy again, but he just couldn't believe in himself that he could get better. All this trial and error broke him. he has the fear of being abandoned just like bruce. and even though every single thing he has done bruce still forgave him and will forever. he just doesn't know it yet. he just doesn't believe someone could care for him so much, he just can't. [P.S sorry I wrote so much I still hope you enjoyed though even if some of it doesn't make much sense in a way.]
You got to be fuckin' kidding me!... Why some new crap when you can list him singing "Unforgettable" of Nat "King" Cole, "Strange" of Grace Jones... Even list something like "I'm so happy i could cry" from Frank Zappa... Love that selection!...
You can truly tell The Joker and Batman kind of love each other, Joker never really wanting Batman to die and Batman being so devastated at Jokers death that he won't speak to anyone, even his own adopted son And father figure for a few weeks
This song is beautiful and Joker singing it to Bats is even more beautiful. It still gives me chills till this day. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will always be the real Batman and Joker to me. What a beautiful serenade.
i love how his performance goes from moments of menace to being an honest declaration of love, even at the end when he does the final youuuuuuuuu" it almost sounds more weepy then laughing, that's why Hamill is the best ever.
Only you, can make all this world seem right Only you, can make the darkness bright Only you, and you alone, can thrill me like you do And fill my heart with love for only you A-ha Only you, can make all this change in me For it's true, you are my destiny When you hold my hand, I understand The magic that you do You're my dream come true My one and only you A-ha Only you, can make all this change in me For it's true, you are my destiny When you hold my hand, I understand The magic that you do You're my dream come true My one and only you One and only you see you soon bats!
This truly brings some emotions. How it makes you think of all Batman stories and interactions with Joker. I am a long time fan of Batman; he inspired me to do many things and he spent a lot of time with me throughout many ages. The way joker sings this song along with the background of Batman Arkham city makes me remember all these things I’ve gone through with Batman. And I guess, Batman is The Only One for me.
First of all, I love this song. It works perfectly as a love song. This my couple song which I share with my beloved, whom means the world to me. Who knows, maybe you'll read this. Anyway, this is probably my favorite performance of the song. A, because it's how I first heard it. B, it's the Joker singing it for crying out loud. Mark Hamill himself. And finally, because I think you can actually feel the love Joker has for Batman in the voice. I may be the only one who feels it, but I love it. Thank you so much Arkhamvideos for making this awesom video.
ya we get it he miss you, YADA YADA you know who miss you to death? mE! now come home to me darling my Joker on the poster : hey I'm right here! and he's literally me but in 3d...I need love from you too..
Kevin Conroy should have sang Am I Blue or better yet both sing I Wouldn't Have Nothin' if I Didn't Have You from Monsters Inc. or You've Got A Friend in Me.
