The Mute has a peaceful intro, leading audiences into Joker Xue's atmosphere of loneliness, to his monologue of his story. Just like in a storm, the sound of every raindrop is filled with emotion of the youth in summer. Xue-Style ballads leads everyone to tear alongside Joker Xue's story.
The Mute's orginal lyrics and composition are by Silence Wang, and original singer is Liu Wei Julius. Joker Xue alters the composition and lyrics to deliver his own rendition, detailed, yet not losing its emotional touch. He illustrates how a mute is afraid to express too much of his/herself, and his/her state of cautiously trying not to seem overly bothersome. The 'yaba' (mute) in the chorus is sung one with stress and the other lightly, to show how the mute is strong, yet tries to restrict him/herself. Having oneself explode with emotion in the night, Joker Xue hopes to touch all who understands his story.
