We have here in the Philippines, tuna pie, chocolate pie and ube and macapuno pie, macapuno is a type of coconut with the flesh having the texture of translucent jellied candy 😋

Hi. The Banana Langka (plantain and jackfruit), used to be available here in the Philippines but was discontinued. Perhaps because we have a very popular dessert/snack available everyday in nearly every corner store called TURON. It's like a large deep fried lumpia/roll with plantains and langka inside. A common readily available snack.

Plantain is not the same as banana. They have different flavor and doesn't taste like bananas.

@@marloyt7786 Plantain is not a common term in PH. Everything here is banana in different varieties. In some areas in PH, plantain is saging saba; still saging or banana. As long as it looks like saging, they are all banana.

I LOVE their spicy chicken. Agree that maybe y'alls came with some extra seasoning cuz even tho it is noticeably hot I've never had that reaction 😂Eric - that boy is on fiiiiirrrreeee. Just the fact alone that they fry their pies already gives them a huge advantage. I've never had the banana one but I adore peaches so this one is fine in my book. But did Steve ditch the soiled shirt at the Old Navy then just strutted out to the car with his new score?

Based on all the comments, it must have been over seasoned, because that bird was spicy!!! Use Steve as the gauge, that boy reacting means something!

We are starting to think that our batch had extra hot seasoning based on lots of people saying it isn’t very spicy. This chicken was way hotter than any of us were expecting. Going in we totally thought it would be mild! 🤣🤣. The pineapple quencher is so so good!

It's been several years since I tried it but I don't remember thinking the chicken was that spicy and wow seems the price got even more expensive. Eating is never allowed in my car... Well only I'm allowed and I don't do it that much. lol

Instantly didn't believe u about the spicy chicken bcus ur yt lol its all good n I actually had some today and its not as spicy as ur saying (to me) but defo spicier than popeyes. All love. Different strokes. Really tasty though. Peach n mango pie is AMAZING. So good 👍 👏🏾 👌

It is not really spicy , you just eat it the chicken that its still hot from cooking. That's why it feels too spicy because its still hot lol

Should of dipped the chicken in gravy to help with the spicy. Adds more savory and spicy to it.

I think I commented on your last video… banana lanka was actually discontinued 10 years ago and was brought back recently… I think it also varies by state. I think the pineapple juice cancelled out the sweetness and flavor from the pie

Jollibee wouldnt be putting the Spicy Flag if its not. a fun fact the first time Jollibee lauch the Spicy Chicken Joy in the Philippines it had a negative reputation because the spicyness is almost a joke and people are complaining that they are just getting the normal chicken joy instead of what they asked. then Jollibee ramped up the spicyness to 10 and it became more popular than the original for adult diners

I've never had it, there's only 1 Jollibee in my state about 180miles away. Even I know your supposed to get gravy to dip the spicy chicken in. ...but I'm guessing this crowd finds Ketchup spicy. :P

Why didn't you put the chicken into the gravy. It compliments the chickenjoy's flavor but also blunts the spicy kick to the tongue. Also i feel that i get less of a heartburn with Jollibee's Spicy ChickenJoy compared to Popeye's Spicy Chicken since all of the spiciness is on the surface with the powder and stays in your mouth. Remember that 90s movie HalfBaked, when Weed became legal in Canada over some yrs ago, there were a couple of ladies from Toronto that celebrated it by eating Jollibee while high and posting the video on RU-vid. Obviously the spiciness wasn't part of their reaction since they're too high to realize it but the gravy made a difference in their reaction with the spicy chicken.

They kept saying hot, couldn't tell the difference when they meant spicy and when it's hot. Touching it was hot, mango pie was hot, chicken....hot? Spicy?

The pastry is not sweet? Uhhh.....it is and the flavor is there. Filipinos don't like desserts that are too sweet. We balance desserts with flavors and hopefully not develop diabetes.
