Heya Layne XD Ended up getting a memory jolt after I saw an advert for an Ube Cream Liqueur by Destileria Barako, a distillery that opened a few years back, and was surprised to find out it's the first in the world. It's available over there if you ever wanna get your hands on a bottle. Cheers!
I started watching mukbang because of youuu! You are the first youtuber I've watched doing jollibee mukbang, and that's when my addiction on watching mukbangs started. You are literally the OG. More power on your channel Layne❤
It's great to see another Jollibee mukbang. FYI, if u still liked the original powdered spicy ChickenJoy, Jollibee uses Habanero Chili powder. Preferably mix the Habanero powder with seasoning salt(Lawry's) as u don't want concentrated chili powder by itself. Looking forward to your trips again.
Filipino in the San Diego area here. Convoy is Asia town, yes. It's mostly Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Japanese restaurants there... and Boba tea places, and maybe some Thai places. Korean and Japanese restaurants are actually more popular in that area (Depends on who you hangout with, I guess). Tofu House, Friend's House, Min Sok Chon are some of the Korean places my friends and I ate at. And then there's Hinotez, it's like a very small hole in the wall Japanese restaurant, and it's always full at night. Even though it's mostly East Asian food there, all sorts of East and Southeast Asians, and a sprinkling of non-Asians friends hangout in this area, especially at night. I'm not sure if Language Meetup (study groups) still happen there, but if it does, Tuesdays and Thursdays are also going to be busy in the late afternoon/night time. There are also cafes that serve as like a meeting point/hangout area before/after eating at a restaurant. And shout out to Sage French Cake in Convoy, the Asian dude that bakes there, my guy, you make amazingly good cake. But, if you're only looking for Filipino food, then yeah, National City is basically your best bet for Filipino content. I've only been a few times there though, so I don't know that hangout scene there. Also, the Pho place you're talking about?? I think I know, I'm gonna keep quiet, but I think I've been there a few times. Edit: Okay, nvm, I just realized there's like a dozen pho places there.
I'm in Arizona & the nearest Jollibee for us down here is in Phoenix. They opened a Jollibee just a couple years ago in Phoenix. I wish corporate would eventually decide to open one in Tucson sometime soon. Would be a lot closer & a shorter drive for me. I enjoyed your video Layne. I think I'm subscribed to you but I rarely watch your videos but this particular video piqued my interest. Thank you for posting this content. Shout out to your Italian heritage & background! I've been mistaken for Italian, Mexican & Middle Eastern but I'm mixed Filipino, German & Welsh. Anyway, great 👍 video! Very entertaining & enjoyable.
Whoaa it's that long already? I was a subscriber from my lost YT acct, Last time I watched a vlog of Layne was when she cut off her hair's bangs and a part of her died inside. 😁 But she held her unfallen tears with a smile though (Such a toughie) Nice to see you again, Layna Banana! Cheers to your family! Made me craving spicy chicknjoys again at night. Oh hello Kabayan Mitch👋
Layne such a fun video ❤❤❤ and that aloha burger looked delicious 😋 I am hungry now and it’s like 10 am here lol 😂 thanks layne happy Wednesday much love ❤ & amazing mukbang/podcast ❤❤❤
In my eyes the Bay Area, and San Diego are the less pretentious ones; while la is. Also I can see myself living in la, but I wouldn’t stay more than a year or two!!! Mainly to just find all the good food, visit family if they live there; and go to school there. Although I’m more likely to go San Diego, and stay there; but honestly the bay is my home!!
I really miss SD now after watching this!.....you peeled off the skin, that was good, but next time try scooping some adobo rice on it( non-battered side ) add some meat, roll the skin with the rice and meat in it and dip in the gravy....BOMB!!
That’s so funny. Layne acts like she didn’t eat jollibee often before. She used to state she really liked the spaghetti (?) and the other stuff. So was she just trying to pull Filipinos to watch her videos. Bec she used to “pretend” she loved jolibee. That she had to get it while her & her family were in Hawaii.
@@LayneFable ah ok!! Well than her for teaching you how to say palabok right!!! Soon you’ll be fluent at some point!! So I’d assume soon English, Italian, and Tagalog literate/fluency or fluenci-ish
You look great in tan. Tan is way better than white. Sorry if I talked outside of your content🤭but, of course, Jollibee? My go to ff chain; my all-time fave!
Ha. If you eat at Jollibee and post a video, we gotta watch! And we don't know why... For me sweet spaghetti is ok. I do prefer the extreme slow food cook spaghetti with a lot of tomatoes, carrots, garlic, onions. It doesn't even have meat yet but it is so expensive. Topped with sliced boiled eggs. A taste I cannot forget.
@@LayneFable excited to see more of your adventures with her. It’s cool that u guys just met, but you both seem real comfortable with each other already
