Lol we're doing Mary Poppins this year as the musical and I play Martha(Micheal) That's how I know haha
So glad to see they revised this. Now (mostly) it looks like the choreography has something to do with the music, although at times the statues seem to be improvising (and not in a good way). And some of them still look like refugees from Bourne's production of Swan Lake.
@beckyrooper I love how they always do something different for that part. Last night, it was the GORGEOUS Nicolas Dromard. He had covered Michael's face and his hand was so big compared to Tyler's face that you pretty much could not see him at all. When I was in the show we would always come up with new things he could do.
@coasterjudge Quite a bit, for starters the entire set is black and white, with Bert adding a couple splashes of colors, there was no lunch scene, and Berts costume was alot closer to what Dick Van Dyke wore in the film version of the song. There's alot more but I think it would be better to just see it. If you look at the playlists on my channel, you will find not just the London Version of Jolly Holiday but the entire show with the Original London Cast!
@broadwaylifealways4 I just looked into that, my main musical source just had his account terminated because some killjoy reported a copyright violation. I jsut lost about 10 musicals. All of them really hard to find.
It looks like a really great production. I haven't had the possibility to see it yet unfortunately and as far as I know there's no dvd realesed on the show. Is the full show available online?
Strange? British audiences appreciate them, they just do it in silence, all the Americans do, is acknowledge it, audibly. As part of company, it’s ebornously energising. And it can create an eceltric feeling, in the auditorium. Just a culture difference, nothing strange about it.
