Lindberg's Jolly Roger Pirate ship is, as best I can tell, based on the French Frigate La Flore. It was a 32 gun 5th rate ship. Purpose was to support of the ships of the line. Basically a recon scout ship. It also had the speed to act as an independent cruiser.
