Odinga couldn't accept the presidency by then.. He knew who deserved it and why, in fact Odinga did a wise move as this was a plot by whites.. they could prefer him since they feared Kenyatta and MauMau fraternity, But Odinga knew who really fought hard though him also played part in independence struggle. I think the animosity hate and rivalry is with the political class and maybe some of those who were born and grew up in ushago like myself. Coz for us to go to the city we used to go to our uncles cousins aunts brothers and sisters or parents etc. But my Luo children who were all born in the city they even don't bother to go to their relatives in Nairobi from Mombasa where we live. They go to their Kikuyu Luhyia Kales Somali etc friends and we also open our house to all their friends from different tribes. Also when my son went to Dubai to look for work it his Kikuyu friends who received him from the airport and he stayed with them till he got a job
