One of the best athletic physiques I have seen. He ripped and bulky, yet he is so agile, not like bodybouilders who can't do nothing appart from fucking curls.
+David Fonseca ofcourse, trained since very young age with top training and unlimited amount of steroids.. 7 Thats what the NFL is all about.. Its just like bodybuilding and strongman in terms of performance enhanchers. Cant compare them to other athletes when theyr ALL on testosterone etc.
I literally wept when I saw him go down in the opening game against the cards, never want to see someone running full speed and just collapse. Cant wait to get him back this year.
Thanks for the info, though all you needed to say was "It's a sound bit from the beginning of 'underground kings' by drake". Anyways, as a fan of the team that he was playing against when his injury happened, I'm very glad to see that he has recovered so quickly and is eager to get back to playing again.
Been watching this video since it was posted. Such motivation & drive in anything is amazing. Having it be this type of training, football and J Beasy & crew, lock it up. Nuff respect. Jonathan Stewart is a warrior
na i don't think we're making it to the superbowl this season but who knows what might happen in the next couple of years. We need a better secondary and our young wide outs need to mature fast and have an up-swing toward the end of smith's career
he was on espn last week and sain he's not near 100% about just by watching this video and for him to say he's not near 100% is scary. He promised that he will be healthy when training camp starts.
I cant understand how someone have that much muscle run so fast be so strong with such endurance ... I think he is on steroid or hormones, or he is top athlete.
I think its developing tempo; memory muscles, enabling the body to remember the rhythm of right elbow rise to a certain point maintaining 90degrees, left knee rise to waist height. probably something that's most useful in the first 30m of a 100m sprint. Next step in development is stride length and building power thru >weight. i was a road runner in college. 6000m 8000m. Fundamentally, the 90degree elbow, is essential to all running styles. I'm just going from what I can see. I'm 22yrs old.
This dude is a freak. There is no way a 250lb person can normally move with that level of power with agility. I don't see what you are seeing. He is definitely ready to play. He inspire me. Believe me Michael McDonald, Jon Beason will eat you alive!
There's many different body types for the NFL. Don't generalize every NFL player. now, most starters play a full 60 min game. Each drive is a 100 percent effort. Rugby players have the luxury to step up or slow down the pace, much like soccer.
Would LOVE to see this guy try his hand at rugby. He has a good turn of speed and is nippy as hell!! I think he'd make a fantastic centre or wing maybe... if he has the stamina to go the whole 80.
Beason, Davis, Keuchly, Anderson, Senn... The Panthers are going to have if not the best then definitely one of the best linebacker corps in the NFL this season. It is going to be a fun year.
Someone needs to make a highlight tape of his plays in Carolina. He's top 3 in the league and deserves his own video of making teams look silly. JB+TD+Cam+Smitty=SB?
Luke Cant, i watched the kids highlights and i was not impressed he misses a lot of tackles, he has a long way to go to catch up with John, If john can stay healthy we will have a very solid defense.
Beason is a BEAST!!!! Top 100 screwed him over in 2011 with 95. should be top 20 at the least! But does anyone know what kind of cleats he is wearing? They're pretty sick. I know they are nike just what is the name of them?
Panthers defense is going to be in full beast mode this year! I know that know one believes the panthers defense is going to be that much better than last year, but i have a feeling that we are going to come back a whole different monster and be a top ten defense in the league. Go Panthers!
i cant believe people thought he wasnt a powerful linebacker, although he doesn't have as many highlight hits as patrick willis he is just as technical and just as instinctive. He's as good as they come.
Can you imagine if the 49ers switched to a 3-4 Defense and had Jon Beason!!! They would have Ahmad Brooks, Navorro Bowman, Patrick Willis and Jon Beason. That is scary as fuck!
so i have to use steroids if i want to be like him? like his body i mean.. his jacked up .. or is he not????? Vernon Gholston must have some testoserone or something. i need to gain weigth any advise?? please!!!!
rugby v american football debate, reckon same, but for rosie tinted nfl fans dishing rugby i am pretty sure dan carter, martin johnson , jonah lomu and johnny wilkinson would have been nfl stars if they choose that switch, and the little bold australian can not remember his name were incredible to watch, the 2003 england world cup winning team were impressive , and watching david beckham play american football on adidas adverts is unbelievable im pretty sure he holds record for longest kick
Hell yeah Panthers!!!! With guys like J Stew, Beason, and Cam around I don't know how anyone on the team can't be PUMPED for this next season. I know one thing, Panthers are going far.
Wow this has me so stoked! I fell like if the defense can step up any where close to the level of the offense we will compete as the best team in the NFC South and hopefully a playoff spot.
sorry buddy i am a england rugby fan and i can not even be as ignorant not to know who jonah lomu is , this guy was huge ran like a sprinter and basically threw 20 stone men into the crowd whilst running past them for fun, it was almost unfair to be playing against him he was almost a one man team,
I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE BEASON ON THE FIELD THIS YEAR!!! HE LOOKS LIKE AN ANIMAL! Not to mention the leadership he will bring to our team. Panthers ALL DAY EVERYDAY!
This is so encouraging to see. You can see that he kept himself in shape very well and didn't slack off. This video shows that he is making vast improvements and I feel that he feels that the Panthers can do some great things in the upcoming season. All they needed was a QB and now they have it (CAM). Go Panthers!!
they don't call jon beason the beast for nothing . and to have luke kuechly and thomas davis protecting the d . if it stays healthy it will be the best linebacker core in the entire nfl , hell even in history !!! go panthers !
depends on the point of view, in NFL they must perform on seconds in a distinct role. rugby is more all round for players doing offensive and defensive work all game on. i prefer rugby cause of its continuous play. and they also train like beasts. why dont you try out both :P
Actually there is a huge difference in speed in 100m times between rugby and nfl. First there are tons of times of out there about habana 100m time and most are b.s, especially the 10.2-10.4 times people claim for him, id i remember correctly his own rugby club springboks claimed hes never run faster then 11s in 100m.Chavanga was said to have run that 10.27 when he was running track before he got into rugby, and even then there are tons of nfl players who have run those 10.2 or faster.
it ain't about the looks, you work out and train so much in the nfl that in the end, the muscular look is what you get. you don't train with the goal to look the best, you train with the goal to function the best. if you'd take a little more educated look, black males often tend to have thinner legs than one might think, but that isn't due to lack of workout -if anything, he does to much of it- it's just because of the muscle structure. its the way they are, if it works why complain?
You realize that in training NFL players work conditioning and muscle endurance. Just because the game itself isn't incredibly fast paced doesn't mean the athletes are sloths. Also, if you ever played football you would know that it is a very physically demanding sport. Some of my teammates run 4-5 minute miles and they get winded in games. I know I get winded and I run a 5:45 mile and a 19 minute 3 mile...
Why don't you ask Nate Ebner, Safety for the Patriots that was a world class Rugby player at Ohio State and could have gone pro, but now is a special teams player in the NFL. You watch his college rugby tapes and he would blow by people. In the NFL he is average at best. Which is why he doesn't start. NFL players in my opinion are the best athletes in the country as far as speed, agility, and strength go.
A lot of walking around when the ball is on the other wing, though the clock isn't actually stopped there is still a lot of rest time for players in Rugby. In the NFL each play every player i going hard until the whistle. It's too tough to compare, but one thing is for sure, NFL players wouldnt hit as hard without the padding, trust me I made that mistake the first time I played Rugby. Different technique to tackling altogether.
The players that i play with and chose American Football from the start along with myself are incredible, we make one handed catces while falling to the ground as if we were water out of a tap. The rugby players trying wideout just stop clap and stare as if they'd seen a ghost when really it is not that hard to me and the other wideouts because a FOOTBALL body and mentality at that position is necessary. It's all about where you think Rugby players could fit in football because they can't at WR
