I lost my Mum the month before I saw Bon Jovi for the first and only time live in Southampton in 2008. I hadn't shed a tear either when she passed away in my local hospital or during her funeral. But during the concert they sang Always, and although it was written for a different scenario, the line 'I'll be there forever and a day... always' suddenly hit me as the realisation that my Mum was gone and wasn't with me any longer. My love for her was still fresh in my heart and my memories, and I couldn't hold on to my emotions any longer as I began to cry... I sang and cried in memory of my Mum. She may have been in her seventies but she was surprisingly quite strong-willed and in her last two years had experienced a number of falls, pneumonia (twice), chest infections, etc and yet bounced back. But then she finally succumbed to Sepsis leaving me numb and Bon Jovi opened my heart and allowed me to grieve. Thank you Jon and the guys.

@@lorirose3846 Many thanks for your greetings. It's the 16th anniversary of her passing on 5th May 2024 so the next two or three weeks in particular is a time I reflect on it the most. June 11th (date of the concert) is a special day to my wife and I because neither one of us imagined seeing a 'supergroup' like Bon Jovi in our lifetime, and it was my Mum who made it possible six months prior when she encouraged me to book the tickets and paid for us to go. A very special time in so many ways.

I never knew I loved bon Jovi... But l was drip fed his albums through my bedroom wall at 6 am by my then 14 year old daughter getting ready for school,,, back in mid 80s........ When the songs made it to the charts I knew ALL THE WORDS 😂😂😂my daughter is now 52 and still a huge fan after Paul Young.. They truly are one of Rocks greatest bands. In their heyday, they had the world in the palm of their hands. Every man wanted to be him, every chick would've dropped her panties for him. True legends in the music world. Songs that will live on way after they and we are all dead!
Even if his band has never been my favourite (in the eighties U2 were at their top, unreachable), Bon Jovi music has always been part of my life. So I will always remember hits such as Living on prayer

@@piotrschmi7718 i can to some part agree with you. But Jon have done a surgery so his voice should be better and better. But if he cant sing, like he have done the past years, it is better to do any concerts at all. But Richie seems like he is good as always👍

Habe Bon Jovi in den 90igern in Bremen gesehen. Eine sympathische Band. Ich finde es so schön, dass sie ganz natürlich altern ohne irgendwelche Schönheits Op's oder Botox. Sehr schön❤.
I grew up one town from him.😅.I am not going to say what I told him sitting in his front yard when I was 18.Oops 😅.I am a retired carpenter he bought his own baseball team he shut me up 😅.And he is one of my favorites of all times.A living legend.

Soy de otra generación,pero me hice fan a los 8 años gracias a un cassette que me regalaron. Y recien pude cumplir mi sueño de ver a la banda en mi pais en 2017, ya que para inicios de los 90 era niña. Lamentablemente no pude ver a la banda con Richie, pero igualmente lo disfrute. Fue un sueño cumplido. Soy de la generación a la que cantaba "It's My Life". Y al dia de hoy es mi himno. Gracias Bon Jovi y Jon Bon Jovi ❤️.
