I love Jon Bon Jovi and this makes me love him and his wife even more. I hope they live longer. The world needs more people like them.

Starting out I was a fan of his and the bands now I'm a fan of Dorothea’s too. Both are beautiful human beings inside and out.

Why thumbs down, I just can’t understand some people. There should be more people like Bon Jovi and his beautiful wife in this world. I lived in New York for a few years and I saw a lot of homeless people on the street, so I took it upon myself to make sandwiches at home and hand them out,. A little bit of kindness goes a long way. I've been a Bon Jovi fan since 1984 or 1985. I didn't know he married his high school sweetheart. With his looks and being the frontman of an incredible rock band, he had his pick of so many women. The fact that he married Dorothea and remains with her is a very rare thing. God Bless them and all they do for the poor. That is so much more than being who he is on stage.

When you think they COULDve been lounging around in their palm beach compound or wherever they live, whatever the fabulously wealthy do... playing pool, swimming and so on... I am sure it is a fantabulous lifestyle... Instead they were setting up food bank for the east end of long island's people in need... schlepping boxes and washing dishes! It's absolutely amazing and no wonder they are together after so many years. They know what is important. They are the role models for america... not the wealthy (blankety blank) we have in the WH right now.

I remember when I was in high school Jon announced his marriage to Dorthea. So many girls in school we're pissed. Calling her ugly. I just told them they were jealous because she had him and they didn't. It cracked me up these girls actually thought they had a chance with him. Love the idea and met some wonderful people that they've really helped feed and give a chance to learn another skill and that their are definitely people out there that care and very willing to "pay it forward". Bon Jovi is the soundtrack for me growing up in Jersey in the 80's. Staying happily married for any amount of years is always a challenge. To see Jon and Dorothea still happily married and best friends that work together to give back to their community and to help people in need is really what life's all about, especially these days. Dorothea, would you consider writing a book about your perspective on being married to Jon and your experiences as a wife and mother from the beginning of his career? I would buy that book in a second. You are truly amazing people.

I've been a Bon Jovi fan for decades! But when I see positive uplifting stories like this, it just makes me admire him and his family as kind human beings, not celebrities. He and his wife are "walking the walk", using their super powers for good! It's inspiring that they aren't topping, they just keep doing more and they are affecting real change in their own "backyard". Sure, it's great when celebrities give to causes in other countries, but there are SO MANY communities in need right here in this country. It's so sad to think of children going to school hungry or our seniors that live below the poverty line and add in the pandemic and it impacts things even more these days. We're the United States of America, one of the most prosperous nations in the world, we should always strive to do better, be better. Like Jon said, it doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, what side of the aisle you're on, everyone should have access to the basic needs to function in day to day life: food, water, shelter, clothing. A little human kindness goes a long way. I wish there was a way to do what he and his wife have done in their community, in more communities across the country.
