I don't know why it took hearing it so many times (mostly from this video) but the reason why Breekon found it funny that Jon asked about his "real voice" is because Breekon & Hope is a Manifestation directly from The Stranger itself. They *HAVE* no voice of their own because that would run counter to the concept of The Stranger, since it takes the identities of others as the kernel of truth to sell the lie of it being human enough to be "wrong." Damn this show is so well-written!

Massive Spoilers for Magnus Archive Podcast: “Eldritch Abomination Delivery Man #1” delivers a cursed coffin to the paranormal investigators. He put one of their friends in there after she killed his other half, ”Eldritch Abomination Delivery Man #2.” The reason he pauses in the middle of his sentences is that’s when his partner would typically finish them for him. Lead paranormal investigator (Jon) channels his patron (Eldritch Abomination of forbidden knowledge and the fear of being watched) to force the delivery man to answer his questions, then manages to overpower him.

Oh, wow... I just realized that because Breacon gets its power from I Do Not Know You, getting forcefully Perceived by Jon was an effective threat against its existence. I thought Jon just scared it off with some beam of social anxiety, but it makes sense that the Stranger is particularly weak to the Eye.

That's an interesting way of seeing what john did . I always saw it as john making their fear power devour them by making them feel the fear of those in the other statements ( like with jude but instead with the fear the eye has already consumed instead of curantly feasting on ) thus allowing himself to devour them and make a statement unlike elias who can just see into someone's mind

i cant stop coming back to this video. it was my first introdocution to tma in. april of 2020? and the stellar framing and boarding style sucked me into this scene. i had no context for the plot but nonetheless i was interested. i binged all of what was out at the time and to this day its probably the piece of media that has inspired me the most. thank you for making this and introducing me to this extraordinary podcast

I’ve been considering doing a TMA relisten and seeing this animatic, the thing that first got me interested in TMA in the first place, in my recommendations feels like a sign.
