IT'S FINALLY DONE YAAY This was my biggest project yet ,so i'm very happy that i finished it Helen came out a little bit wonky and inconsistent but we can blame it on her disrtionism(is that a word?)
I never imagined it with any sort of vehicle. I just imagined he had the ability to just fling himself through the air at high speeds at will. Like shooting a rubber band. This landing was less refined than probably was normal, because as he said he “only just noticed them.”
i really love how "junior" is a giant tornado monster instead of a giant human shape titan. i don't have a problem with having "junior" be human shaped but him being a giant tornado is a really cool idea i haven't seen before
my favourite thing about it is the second hand embarrassment when martin was pushing for some smiting, jon is hesitating and simon skeedadles. the entire work is excellent
omg I love everything about how you interpreted this scene. from the plane to the weird hand tornado things to Simon spinning wildly out of control to escape 😂😂😂
the way you draw expressions is so wonderful .... if i close my eyes and think really hard i can punch that little elias in his loins!!!! and ofc your linework and stylisation. this animatic is like a soup i want to swirl around and around in a mug
Oh it is so good to see this seen drawn out like this. Simonnis such a delight, and the way you drew their body language and expressions is so spot on.
This is so fantastic!! I like how in boards where Jon says "I" often little eyes pop up on his face! idk if that was a thing but my brain snagged onto it regardless and thinks this is so cool regardless!!!
Okay, 1) this is an exceptional animatic, I loved every bit of this, this is something to be proud of. 2) I love the image of Simon slowly crashing a plane as his entrance over the boring "super Saiyan" landing I'd been picturing in my head. 😂
This is one of my favorite scenes (and Simon is one of my favorite characters) and there are too few animatics of it! This absolutely does it justice. I always pictured Simon just cannonballing into the ground, but the plane is so much fun and extra. I love the Midwestern feel of this Vast domain, with the corn and the Great Beast tornado-it really conveys that sense of wide open emptiness, and the scale and unstoppable power of a tornado fits perfectly here. I love the more cartoon aspects, like the words appearing above Simon and the ghosts of Peter and Elias-really fits with Simon’s charm and humor. The shot at 2:46 is just gorgeous (as are most shots here). Just so good!
The perspective of his left foot slowly drifting backwards at 3:08 without the need of a new drawing to show it is a top tier storyboard technique, well done!!!!
I just finished this episode today and oh my LORD this is phenomenal :DDDD makes me so happy you NAILED all of the designs!! the facial expressions!! simon's 'BYEEEEEEEE'!! jon and his E Y E S. god this was so good. i love them all. also love how the only thing to have color was helen, made her feel super unique!!!
I kinda imagined him peter panning through the sky at extreme speed, but standing up holding a little cane. The beginning I imagined as a thor like landing. Rocketing through the vast sky at super speed and catapulting into the ground.
I did an animatic to the same audio clip a while back, I love your take on it! I love the way you drew the characters, especially martin's shaggy hair, and the monster. :DD
@carterBrained I may have worded it weirdly, but i didn't exactly take inspiration, i just wanted to see how different people imagined this scene and how i would've done it in their place? I don't know if I'm making sense, but sorry for the confusion? I really don't know how to talk to people (especially in english lol) sorry haha
Hrmmmmm i need to finish listening to tma cause i am so interested rn 👁️👁️ i love the way you went about everything in this. the lil over layering and tiny glitches. the way you truly capture expressions. grrr very nice 😌
I’m literally obsessed with this- you like perfectly characterized and encapsulated this whole scene and each of their mannerisms- also the way Helen moves is stellar and she is my door wife 🚪
