With an endless array of music on RU-vid to fulfill my demanding musical addcition I continually find myself back at Jon Hopkins, especially this set.

Brings tears to my eyes everytime.

I can't get over how fucking amazing this piece of music is. As someone said, it totally feels like floating in another universe. Like, how do you even come up with something like this? Jon Hopkins is a genius.

This is literally eargasmic, hypnotic experience when you listen to this with Sennheiser headphones. Feels like floating in a different universe holy shit.

One of my favorite jogging songs. Once it starts pounding in my ears, I enter another world, I isolate myself and GO further and further, with an ease that wasn't there a few minutes before. THAT song gives energy. Open Eye Signal and Everything Connected have that same effect on me.

I remember when the vinyl Immunity was released. Never heard the songs, got it as a blind buy. It's spinning and this song came on. Blew me away. Outstanding. What a moment. The whole album is just wonderful but this track alone is incredible and will be impossible to top.

Beautiful. I personally have no idea what precisely Mr. Hopkins is up to in this video; how much is live performance and how much is simply editing is perhaps up for debate, but for me, that's irrelevant. What matters is that he has composed an utterly sublime piece of music which he is reproducing/interpreting here for us all to enjoy immensely. Lovely stuff.

when we look at artists from the past, no one had idea about their magnitude. When this man dies, this music will gain completely different status. While he is still popular and recognized this is still not Leonardo da Vinci tier, we overlook it with "good soundcloud music" idea polluting the greatness of entire album. It is really musical history being made.

Funny story. Saw this guy live at Meredith Music Festival last month, he was pretty good. One of my friends though, was so shitfaced, kept saying it was the best gig ever, the fattest set ever, guess you had to be there but I tell you I couldn't stop laughing at my friend. In between all that I did enjoy the set too!

Slightly more impressive than putting a cd in a player and pushing play...Just slightly.

It's unreasonable to discount the merit of Collider or Jon Hopkins. but, anyone who knows the least bit about consoles, is well aware that he did nothing here, apart from phase and cue on safe levels None the less, he deserves his time in the spotlight for belting out such a sheer classic. Some work could never have that romantic appeal of "live" esp, if it's such a sonic poetry with minimalistic measures. Even if Jon walked up on stage, connected his iPod to an amp, via DAC and ran his work, while sitting on a chair centre stage having a beer ! He still has my respect :) btw/ he is a bad actor/ hez enjoying it ....not performing it ;) :D
