Two years after the release of his highly successful album Dolce Vita, Jonas Kaufmann reaffirmed his love affair with Italian music with a special concert at the Waldbühne - Berlin’s renowned stage-beneath-the-stars. In what can be seen as a wondrous zenith of his dedication to Italy and her music, the concert has become one of this year’s biggest classical music events. Sony Classical is proud to announce the release of the magical concert on DVD, Blu-ray, CD.

It ain´t just coincidence that there´s a big tenor trio composed of Pavarotti, Carreras and Domingo you BOZO.. and Kaufmann is actually closest to Pavarotti in all voice quality terms from all of them!!

When he sang the same piece at The Proms in London the audience restrained from clapping until the music had actually finished - a compliment to Turandot. Kaufmann certainly knew then that he'd "nailed it" but he had to wait for the appreciation.

Una voce indimenticabile, una tecnica impeccabile, uno sguardo cosí dolce, un sorriso incredibile, una presenza scenica unica, lingue italiane e napoletane perfette… Tutto insieme! I went with my father to the home of the late, great Sherrill Mills as a child. I thought I knew what a beautiful tenor voice was but you have been a revelation. A fabulous performance by Jonas.Doesn t leave me feeling lonely about Pavarotti at. ALL.His voice is full and embracing.On the other hand he's able to do attempts of pianissimos.in the more intimate phrases..His outstanding presence and sureness of his capabilities allows him to make everyone moved as well as deeply touched by his singing.Thank God for your formidable voice for it's intensity and colour.And keep on doing things so we'll professionaly.You are really gifted 😮

One can know the music but only a true artist makes the connection: on one side is the knowledge of the music and on the other side is the drama, what the composer is saying. In the middle is the artist who must connect with composer's intent, the connection to the audience and the courage of that musician to stand on a stage and say, "This is what I have to give you. It is my best. I offer my gift, my experience the love of what I do. I hold nothing back and it is given with all my gift has to offer." T h i s is what Jonas Kaufmann is and has certainly earned, one of the brightest stars in the constellation of true artists. Bravo!
