I was able to get tickets to his sold out concert in Toronto shortly before COVID hit. I remember him walking out on stage...just walking...and BOOM , Standing Ovation. He was incredible that night. That crowd adored him. Wow, what a show.
Me too, didn't know it was 10 years since BGT, what a stunning voice and a nice humble and caring person. One proud mum for sure, hope joy returns soon.
It's rare to have such a rich, opera voice at such a young age. I am in love with Jonathan's tenor, and could listen for days. He's such a humble young man. Hope he continues on a great path, never giving in to the spoils of stardom.
So, true. He also comes off as uber intellegent. I could see him doing a bit of journalism on serous news shows or lite comentary on an entertainment piece. I don't think he'd like to be a judge for American Idol or BGT, as he is too soft hearted for that den of lions.

What has captured many of us to Jonathan, is his humbleness, and non egotistical nature. When you watch him sing, you can see the joy that he has in performing. We are blessed to be able to experience this.
How fortunate to be able to witness the discovery of this incredible talent. Man brings tears to my eyes. "People seem to like me". Get used to it. All the best to him and his future.

Seems like such a cool guy, steeped in humility, letting his voice represent the beauty within him. I hope and pray that Jonathan's story serves as a true inspiration for young vocalists across all genres. You really can follow a dream in purity, resulting in the most wonderful manifestation of natural talent. It should never be about fame, but rather sharing a piece of one of the many beautiful things this life has to offer.
I just saw Jonathans 2012 performance and he took my breath away. I adore Andrea Bocelli, he has a very smooth perfect pitch as he builds but Jonathan has distinct notes as he builds that give me what I call goose-pimples, chills...my mouth opens as if his sound is coming from my body. But its coming from his...his soul. Its as if the music he sings were created for him. May he sing forever more and bless all who have the ultimate pleasure of experiencing his craft. Kudos Jonathan.

Damn im glad to see hes still doing great and he looks like he has way more confidence in himself and his talent which is awesome. He was the main stand out from Britain's got talent to me man. His voice is amazing, it not only made me like Opera or classical music more but personally i like his Version of "The Prayer" song way better than the original.
In my lifetime and still every single day I express gratitude for each and every single thing I am given. I give thanks for each gift, Jonathan Antoine is a treasured gift to us all with a voice that saw me in tears, shivers from head to toe when first discovered on American Idol singing. Jonathan deserves every succes and accalade to his credit. He will live on from such a young age to fill us with song, having been compared to Pavarottie his career has only just begun! I was fortunate to witness his FAB concert at Gawsworth, where an International audience travelled to hear him LIVE; his guests were also enthralled! Jonathan Antoine is unbelievable! And at 19, he still has quite a future- some standard vocal training to tweak it here and there- but overall, he's got an amazing gift!
Jonathan was just 17 when he came to BHT, not 19 how you just said.On June 6 & 8, 2019 there were his first concerts in Toronto, Canada.I was present on one of them. He was amazing. I met him after concert.And it become the event of my life.
I'm glad Jonathan actually has a chance to speak now. I noticed that in interviews with he and Charlotte, Jonathan would start to speak but Charlotte would interrupt. He's finally getting his own voice and bringing songs that have been with him over the years . If I were in his shoes (and oozing with as much natural talent as he has), I would be pretty excited too. He's going to work with the best of the best and play the best pieces of music. I look forward to a long career for him. Can't wait to see him in concert one day here in France.
+Dorothy Bennington Charlotte did have exhuberance when she spoke. That was part of her charm. In the documentary, it really upset me when Jonathan made fun of her for being nervous in front of Pavarotti's voice coach. Charlotte and Jonathan were good for one another. He admitted he was so shy he would have hid behind the sofa. So perhaps Charlotte was just trying to protect him. I wish they could do a song together someday but I doubt if he would want that to happen. He seems content with singing alone and she seems content singing with others.
I agree. He sent me into outer space with his version of "Granada" at Gawsworth a few months ago. I was speaking about socially. It was nice to see him being a teenager for a little while, laughing, socializing and not being isolated. From a voice perspective, his voice is beyond beautiful in the classical setting.

Are you a big fan may I ask - as Gawsworth was only last month and not as you say "a few months ago " and to me a fan would still hold that memory dear in their hearts and have the date firmly fixed
It was the appearance with the Tredegar Orpheus Choir. I thought he was at Gawsworth for that too. Sorry, if I had the wrong venue, perhaps it was Cardiff? I love Jonathan's voice but do not believe I have to remember every venue he has ever sung to be a fan. He is only 20 years old. They are getting difficult to remember because he keeps adding more and more. Since I am not from the UK, the names of the cities do not hold the same meaning, I am afraid. Although I saw on his FB site a huge group of Fantoines came from around the world to hear him sing which had to be incredible. I am looking forward to November when he appears at Gawsworth again for a solo performance. In regard to being talked over, I do believe a nervous 16 year old girl, not used to the camera may have a tendency to talk quickly, especially if she knew Jonathan was very shy and did not speak much to others. Teenagers are in a learning stage and I am glad Jonathan and Charlotte had time to learn new things about themselves when they were together, even if they were just classmates. For them to go onto bigger and better things is their destiny.

Jonathan has said he would have loved the chance to sing with Pavarotti. When he was 17 he was sent to Pavarotti's singing coach for a Master Class and was told there was nothing to help him with. At 19, Placido Domingo invited Jonathan to be his special guest for the last night of the itunes Festival, broadcast world wide. Newest Music Video, Jonathan singing "Io Si/Seen" per Diane Warren's request! He sings the harmonies too. BEAUTIFUL!!! It debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart.

Simon was right he is a young Pavarotti , there was only so much Charlotte & Johnnatin could do as a team. He will sky rocket solo, I wish him nothing but the very very best he has an AMAZING vocal range he’d make Pavarotti proud ..!! He’s so humble a what a polite young lad .

Jonathan sings with less effort than even pavarotti himself, and he has a deeper cleaner voice tone. He is gifted, you can't get that good with practice.
Pavarotti was a trained professional. He was grounded in a solid technique with impeccable breath control and projection. There is no comparison between Jonathan and Pavarotti. Now Jonathan has a powerful voice with a beautiful timbre but he needs to nurture it and receive proper professional training. I hope he looks after his voice and doesn't damage it by singing arias his voice is not ready for. He needs to get a solid understanding of breath control, projection and needs lots of study. He also needs to loose some weight for his own health, but a bit of bulk also help support the sound he makes! I'm overweight too so want people who are overweight to look after themselves! I really like him and am so happy he has found his confidence in such a wonderful art. I just want him to look after his instrument and have professional voice training... which I am sure he must have.

As for the main comment by Khotta, if you don't know what you're talking about, please don't try to speak on the subject. That kind of talk can be very discouraging to beginning vocalists, and it's dead wrong. You absolutely can get that good with practice, and that is most certainly what Jonathan has done. There are people that carry a natural talent to sing, but those are very few and far between. Most professional vocalists have trained for years, and put in many hours of hard work, as with any other type of musician. Please, research before you speak.

So great person. He gained some confidence, yet he stayed very clean inside. Not everyone can survive such success without becoming asshole, he seem to be in love with music so much it might never happen to him and that would be great. I wish him only success and good.
